09 tsx passenger side seat heating problems

Hi there. I just got my 09 tsx, bought a used one from the dealer and noticed that the passenger side seat has some problems with the heat. When I turn it on high it seems to work for about 10 minutes then switches off. After which it does not seem to work for high or low. I tried while sitting in the seat and while not sitting in the seat.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Minaz

Bringing this back up. Did you find a fix for this? My wife tells me my 2011 does the same thing.

Heated seats will disable once they reach a certain temp in order to prevent the heating element from overheating. What I usually do is turn it to high until I can feel it then switch it to low and it stays constant on low.

I'll try that. Only thing is my driver seat stays hot while on high all the time. Hoping its covered by the warranty.

Both of my heated seats in my '12 tsx won't work. The light turns on but doesn't actually heat the seats

My theory, just thinking out loud:

Driver seat has heating element in the seat and the back. Passenger seat back section does not have a heating element, only the seat section.

If same current is applied to both driver and passenger seat heating elements, driver seat should warm up slightly slower than passenger since there is more heating element (assuming wire).

The wire on the driver side should disperse heat more rapidly since it warming up more mass compared to the passenger side. I guess it is dispersing heat fast enough to prevent triggering the overheat cutoff. Passenger heating element warms up, but since it is warming up less mass, the mass warms up fast, heat soaks, then hits the overheat cutoff.
