My left rear door lock actuator is making a fairly loud screeeech when I lock the doors. I don't hear it when the auto-lock-while-driving-engages, only when the car is off I'm outside and I lock the doors with the remote.

Another member asked me about it on the Blown Speaker thread & I thought I'd post to see if any of y'all are experiencing the same thing.

My service advisor (Wes @ Orange Park Acura in Jacksonville, Fl - great guy if you need service & you're here-) acknowledges he was able to hear it and has ordered it for me, but it's on backorder.

i'm pretty sure that may be the fuel tank lid lock that locks and unlock with the doors.

I have the same noise - but that's after my rear door was replaced due to an accident. So I am not sure if this is related...

If it is the fuel door lock then they'll replace it to but the initial investigation targeted the door lock actuator, which is on backorder.

I get a same noise in my passenger rear door. When I unlock the doors i hear a squeel as if its unleashing pressure from the locking mechanism... its doenst happen if i do it right after, but it does if i try it 5 minutes later. Only happens when unlocking.

Hey man,

I'd bet it's probably in stock by now but I haven't had time to bring it in. Now that the 2 week rain...thing is over I'll get it over there for that and the windshield garnish.

I had the exact same problem in my rear left door. I have mine set to unlock all doors when I turn off the ignition and it was getting very annoying to me. I mentioned it to the dealership when I had it serviced and they fixed it no problem. No more schreeching noise.
