I wanted to ask if anyone knew if 1000 is to much for a hood repaint. I had to get my hood repainted by the dealer since they messed it up. Now the hood has solvent pop and I want to get it done elsewhere and I was given the price of 1000. That includes blending and a factory like look, from Magnum Collision if you are in the Atlanta area.


Any help or insight would be great.

 

You shouldn't be paying out of pocket for the dealer's mistakes. Go to the dealer that messed it up and tell them to fix it. Is there some sort of warranty on the work at least?

I think $1000 is way too much for a repaint. I was quoted $700 to repaint my Accord's hood and blend the fenders, and up here everything is jacked up.

 

The dealer wants to do it over again,However, I just do not think they will get it right. This is why I am looking elsewhere to get it done. The main problem is I really do not know any other shops that can do it, and I want it done right. The dealer said they would repaint it, but I feel like they will do another shitty job.

 

Yes there is a Warranty it was the Acura dealership that did it.....

I'm about to tomorrow...... It has been a battle from day with one this dealership, and Acura care was no help, they acted as if they worked at the dealership.

 

If I were you, I'd give the dealer one more chance, then take it elsewhere on their dime if they can't do it again.

 

I thought about that but i'm leaving the area in two weeks. I'm in the military so I will not be back in this area.

 

Remove hood

Smash it through dealerships window

Demand a new one

Claim victory

 

Will you bail me out of jail lol
