just a couple pics of my color matched trims, doesn't look flashy since it blends with the black interior imo

I assume you know how to remove the unit but if not, there's a bolt under the felt cubby and just pull up and out

as far as the doors, I ran a razor blade all around and then just popped them off.

super clean! I'm jealous of how perfect every painted surface is on your car. I'm also jealous of how perfect the weather still is down there. I was just in boca last week for work.

I always leave mine in gear because my handbrake failed before. Rolled out in the street while I was in a movie. Cop was nice enough to push it half way in and put a rock underneath my tire.

I personally don't know if it affects anything but i have a habit of just starting the car and releasing the clutch right away. I drove Savclaude's car before and had a mini heart attack when the car jumped.

You have shown your age with a comment like that. Anybody who has learnt to drive a manual transmission, knows that is part of the parking process. Inside your automatic transmission, there is this drum with large gear tooth's around it. This drum works with a detent tab that locks the transmission when put in park. Guess what happens if the detent tab fails?? That is why automatics should be parked with the paring brakes applied & manual trans in LOW GEAR or REVERSE with the parking brakes applied.

It does not. But as a safety feature some vehicles requires the clutch to be push down to start the engine.

Yes I know this... I always leave mine in gear, I made a comment earlier about that. That's why I wanted to know why he made a comment about leaving it in gear because it actually has a purpose while you are parked. If your cable fails on the e-brake ( like mine had) then leaving it in first gear will prevent you from rolling backwards.

I forgot to leave my 1st car in gear one time, handbrake failed, rolled down the hill, took out the neighbors porch and my rear quarter.

My sis had a 80's 635 automatic anx its parking pin failed and her car went through garage door/

Some municipalities have laws about turning wheels to curb when parking on hills too.

Taught on a stick....took my roadtest in a manual no ps 65 chevelle

I was always taught to par k it in gear low or reverse with hand/foot brake.

I also owned a few 60-70 cadillacs they all had vacuum release on foot brake so ifbrake was in use when u shift outof park foot brake automatically released. These were auto of course.
