Conversion is done on other hondas to adapt RL calipers with 350Z rotors. Why 350Z rotors, well they are larger in diameter than your typical honda rotor, can get them relatively cheap, lug pattern match, the rest of their dimensions lend them to adapt well.

I was going to do this for a "cheap" BBK, but wanted something a bit bigger behind my 20's.

Color looks good

well someone was kind enough to answer the question for me haha I did look into the other BBK but having a 4 cylinder putting 200h that I'm not planning on heavily modifying so I didn't see the need of going so big I ended up going the " cheap" bbk like mentioned above, but after all I wanted something not common and simple above all OEM, I'm al about being a bit different,my thread says it all, also brackets are not from fastbrakes

I didn't mean anything derogatory by referring to it as cheap, you've proven yourself as a high roller with all those mugen parts . More so meant that it can be a money saving kit by piecing it all together like that, which is usually what I try to do. They're all good parts.

love the way the car looks and big plus on upgrading the breaks but to be honest as of now i dont feel the color you choose to paint them but i might change my mind if you put them on simply because your mods never disappoints

Well thanks man, my car wouldn't be where it is now if it wasn't for the Azine members, so many cu2s that I look up too.

thanks Tobby, yeah man for days I was thinking about a color at first I did a teal green but didn't like it much so I ended up with the ultrasonic blue, in the pic the caliper looks dark blue but it is more like a purple bluish in person, imo It does look good with the wheel on I will post pics soon.

The blue caliper looks great! Reminds me of bmw m series blue calipers. I definitely will be doing a similar upgrade.

Your car and this thread is simply inspiring! The Mugen front bumper looks fabulous (although, I was not initially impressed by it the first time I seen Mugen's aero offering for the CU2, it has grown on me otherwise)! Execution is on point.

I'm actually now considering putting the OEM '10 rear bumper back on so that I can get the Mugen rear lip (something about the Mugen's rear lip offering does it for me; I once owned a mugenized 05 RSX-S); I've got the Type-S/SE rear bumper on right now.

Keep doing what you do! I'll stay hopeful that my build will some day hold a candle to yours!

Anyways, enough drooling, I've got a question regarding the RL caliper upgrade. Did you use the Fastbrakes adapter or NVA-AV6's adapter? I'm curious to see what the fastbrakes adapter looks like over NVA-AV6's offering or if they are the same.

thanks alot man, mugen dc5 looks so sick I like them alot, as far as the bracket I did not use the fastbrakes I went with a company call FFC they mostly make parts for the 5th gen accord(94-96) so these brackets were made to upgrade from the stock accord caliper to the Acura RL, since I also own and accord I decided to measure the holes were the calipers bolt up, I found they were the same.

this is how they look like, I have no clue how the fastbrakes look like nor I never heard of them until someone mentioned them

Stoptech brake lines are in,brake pedal feels firmer and I like it and also I sold my BC racing coils cause I was maxed out on them and wanted to go a bit lower so I ended up getting function and form type 2 not sure if anyone have them on here but I gotta they are pretty awesome they are 32 way adjustable and can go really really low and they are about $100 less then the BC racing

forgot to answer about how they ride, actually I like them alot I'm full stiff up front and half stiff in the back which in my opinion is the best set up and the car handles great if I were to choose between them and the BC coils I'd choose the FnF honestly

rotor if I'm not mistaken is a 12'8 from a 350z brembo package and once you go on their FFC web you just click on their newest product and you will see the brackets

Hey Claude,
Just got off the phone with Scott @ "King Motorsports" Mugen USA. I pointed him to this thread so they can view the Mugen kit on your car. Your work here could turn out to be a big help with accessibility to this kit.

You don't need acorn shaped lugs with those wheels? I see you have 3 OEM lugs, 1 OEM lock, and 1 Gorilla lock like mine which may or may not be acorn
