A couple small updates. LED Reverse lights and aluminum pedals. The brightness is exactly the same as the oem bulbs. A little blue for my tastes but for $13/pair I can't complain.

I got the pedals from strutking for the 1st gen TSX, and they took quite a bit of effort in modding to get them to fit. The dead pedal needed to be trimmed on both sides since the aluminum one isn't as wide. The brake pedal screw holes needed to be widened a little bit to get the screws through. And the gas pedal needed about 1/2" of the top dremeled off. They look great though!

I did both those mods also. But I noticed a huge brightness difference with the LED bulbs.

Also where did you get and how much did you pay for the pedals? I got mine on eBay for $28, they say Acura on them and are a direct fit with no mods.

I dont really have a good picture but you can kinda see here:

There were a couple options on ebay that I saw for around $30-$40 but they didn't match the quality level I wanted. I talked to the owner of strutking and he ended up selling me the set for $75 shipped.

sucks for the manual people.

A set is like $300, unless you pay for Ebay auto pedals then pay original OEM price for the clutch and brake pedal. Still comes out to like >$150 for pedals.

The 04-08 TSX MT pedals might your brake/clutch. Then you'd have the same mods as I did for the dead/gas pedal.

My GPS unit/backup camera installation is complete today. Way too many hours were spent installing it and trying to figure out why it wouldn't work right. The instructions were complete garbage and really only told you how to remove all the trim pieces and radio(which I already know from the forums). The only two functions I use of it as of now are the backup camera and the GPS. No radio/AC controls show up on it and don't need to since the oem screen is relocated down low. Here are some random pictures I took throughout the process. I didn't document most of the install with the wires because it was somewhat straight forward since the wire connectors could only fit into their designated place.

Everything I got with the unit.

Video line in trunk and red/black running up to reverse light. I ran the wire through the driver's side behind all the trim pieces.

Connection to reverse bulb.

Cleaned up.

Backup camera screwed into the plastic trim piece on the trunk.

Chopping up the DVD faceplate that came with the unit for the relocated oem screen.

Had to trim down any edges that stuck out too far on the screen.

Fast forward hours and hours of trimming and adjusting. Looks a little rough, and it is, but only if you look really close up. You can't see the gap on the top since it is recessed and you are looking down at it. In the car everything looks just like it should. The big holes in the sides are covered by the silver trim.

Back side.

All put back together!

Back up camera.

Downloaded a different version of the GPS software than what came with the unit. It is really customizable and I can choose from around 150 of user made 3D vehicles. There were space shuttles, tanks, various mario karts, and a lots of random regular cars.

I'm impressed Ryan!

That relocation looks legit, I can imagine how long it took to make that OEM screen fit in that DVD faceplate. Why did your unit come with that?

I think I want boost gauges there instead tho hahaha

The existing system wasn't modified at all. The oem screen was just relocated so all functionality stays the same. The only way the unit is connected to the car is for power and the screen dimmer sensor wire. It is fairly speedy and there really isn't much noticable lag at all.

It came with the DVD drive that was supposed to go there. I have no need for DVDs in the car so I followed what Tobwac did and chopped up the faceplate.

This is the one I got (shipping was an additional $95):
http://www.diycardvd.com/car-hd-scre...en-p-4226.html

The screen shot looks different than what my software looks like. I have icons and not a menu like that. I think he said it was the updated version of the software but I have no idea if that is true or not. I have my doubts that it is. I am perfectly fine with the software on it though.

How hard was it to get the wiring for the stock screen down to the lower section?

oh and do your wheel buttons still work?

There is very little room to reroute all the wires from the screen cavity up top to the lower area behind the radio unit. You basically have to jam them through a small opening and your hands will hurt/have cuts on them afterwards.

All buttons still work. The GPS has no impact on the car's controls since it isn't connected function wise to the car at all. Just for power and an auto dimming wire.

For your future install before you go crazy with all the wires: There will be a bunch of input wires (handbrake, reverse, headlights, fm antenna). All you need to connect to the car is the headlights wire which will dim the screen when the lights are on. If you want me phone number you can have it for immediate answers when you install.

Way too long. About 20 hours of install/trying to figure out why it wouldn't work/relocation of screen. If I were to take out all the time I spent googling

But honestly, I like how your GPS has the caution warning and I assume that's for red light cameras? Wish I had that.

Yeah, it's for the red light cameras. It isn't completely accurate and I have maps that are like 2 years old on it. I want to turn it off but in order to do it I have to reset all my settings on it.

OP stands for Ocean Pacific. A brand that has been dying out for a while. When I was in high school 10 years ago, I had a shirt that said OP boarding on it and I thought it was cool. It was my AIM screen name forever when instant messaging was still in style.

I followed this diagram, taken from this thread. The thread is hard to follow because of all the confusion. For the signal source I used the radio fuse under on the driver's side since it only turns on with the car.

Hey man that looks really good. I'm not a picture guy, but I've got a pretty solid background editing HD videos using my GoPro and that's the best way to do it! Just get in there and mess around until you like what you see!

Completely random, but gotta say, having ROFL on your plate is priceless. Were you somewhat surprised you were able to get it considering how big Texas is?

Oh yeah, and your car looks alright too, I guess.

I had a short list of things I wanted. I waited for a few months and checked the availability online every week or two. Some on the short list included: BACON, HAHA, QWERTY, THIS, WORDS
