opboarding's 2011 GLM V6 - satisfaction guaranteed!

Alright dudes, I think it's about time that I finally post my car now that I've done quite a few things to it. Here is what I have done/installed so far:

Cleared headlights + switchbacks
Nokya arctic white DRL's
Progress rear sway bar
Plasti dipped grille/fogs
Plasti dipped oem wheels
Lip spoiler
Rear sports bumper
35% tint all around
Resonator delete(V6 has almost no change in sound)
Matte black vinyl over interior woodgrain parts
Moved license plate to lower grille
Slightly smoked tails
LED fogs
Custom LED map pocket lights
LED interior

To come:
Coilovers!

Decided to see what plasti dip looked like on the V6 wheels. This made me realize how much I need a drop, so coilovers coming soon!

I am not satisfied

The v6 wheels look better plastidipped black as opposed to the i4 plastidipped black

The drop does the most for our cars, they sit ridiculously high from the factory. Im sure all black dropped will satisfy us and look a whole lot better. And i agree, The v6 plasti dipped look a better than i4. Makes me want to find a set from someone wanting to go aftermarket

Actually, I did. I saw yours and ssjoe's rims and that made me curious what the v6 wheels would look like. Im pretty happy with the way they turned out. I tried putting a clear coat on them but half a can later and I can barley see it. I'm probably going to put another clear coat on when I go to my parents house again in a few weeks, since my dad has a lot of tools I don't and a driveway. Don't know if I want to try the metalizer dip quite yet. I might later on, but I have a few small things I want to do in the coming months, one of which has just been sitting partially done for weeks and weeks.

I just tried to take some, but phone camera just makes it look like one huge blob. They really aren't that impressive, I honestly dont like them that much. They put out pretty much no light, I just wanted them to be white. I dont like being able to see all the little LED reflections in the housing, same with the switchbacks. I have clear plasti dip and going to dip the fogs to both protect and give them a frosty look. I'm going to get HID fogs eventually. I have HIDextra 5000k bulbs sitting in my closet, but your bulbs flickering made me not want to put in the effort of installing them for fogs.

if you have the 20 bucks to spare, it might be worth it. you can do it with the wheels still on the car, and if you are doing another mod, that might work out really well timing wise since as you know the majority of time for plastidipping comes in the waiting for it to dry. i can give you any tips you need to get it done

I like everything but the black wheels. Never been a fan of wheels that look like you have 10 years worth of brake dust on them.

Agreed, I love how the bumper looks in that pic, along with the spoiler. Now I am somewhat satisfied.

LED's are so hype lol

The flickering bulbs could be because of lamesauce quality bulbs matched with the OEM HID ballast and igniters.

As for the fogs they were good from the get go. Straight plug and play. My ballasts kinda just chill in the bumper space lol sliding around I think when I make high G maneuvers. NBD

hmm, then i might just go ahead and use them for fogs. I will probably just stick to the oem bulbs for low beams. I would really like them to be around 5000k though, they look a little too yellow next to my led switchbacks. Ill probably go with a higher end bulb though for the low beams just because those are a lot more important.

Here are the pictures of the LED foggies as requested. Sorry they all suck but it was the best I could do. I'm just going to put them all so hopefully one or two will help you get a better idea of them.

Since my DIY project of making my own plastic diffuser is looking like it'll fail, I thought I'd try something different. I didn't like seeing all the LED dots on my turn signals/fogs, so I decided to spray clear plastidip over the corners/fogs. The clear plasti dip gives it a frosted look, and will also help protect the fogs from breaking(I've read a few people on here who's broke from rocks and such). Its not too bad I dont think...

Before(only took one really picture sorry)

Yeah, for the most part it works. I think it works about as well as the clear diffuser would. If you are more than 3 feet from the car it looks a lot better than before.

opboarding, how did you swap out your license plate bulbs? did you take off the chrome trim to access the lights or you went through the trunk liner from inside?

personally, i'm not feeling the frosted look...it reminds me of a headlight that needs polishing. is it just me?
