Independent fogs!

Some advice: connect the signal source from the relay to a fuse inside the cabin instead of the fusebox in the engine bay. I chose the windshield wiper fuse, number 4 I think.

why is that? D: I have it connected to the fusebox WW relay right now.
Whats the reason you put yours inside?
and is this fuse located beneath the plastic next to the VSA?

nvm! found our post op! but damn i already connected it. i agree with your post in DIY independent fog thread, this would have saved me a lot of wire and time.... i took so much time trying to push two wires into the firewall. -.-

Everything is plugged up! but not getting any results.... my fogs won't turn on with the switch. wack.

First thing I would check would be if all your wires are connected to the right terminals on the relay. Then I would check your fog light fuse.

Does the amp of the relay matter? I figured out I'm using a 14 gauge wire on a 18-20 gauge wire so that may be causing a short.. Gay. I might have to replace the fuse. I hate life

lol forreal tho. I followed this diagram since this should be the correct way to wire a relay.... but it got it working for this guy. don't know what else is wrong. /: i might have to replace wires...? i dunno.

assumption, each fog bulb is 55W @12V

watt = volt*amp
55+55 = 12*amp
9.1 = amp

yea I think I'd do a 15A fuse, 10A doesn't give you much room for real world conditions/tolerances.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I want to do so much more. D':

btw, my independent fog light switch is practically useless now. I only installed it to match yellow fogs with yellow high beams. Now i gotta cut and remove all the wires i took so long to install. gey.

Yeah i just baked them myself. If you don't want hyper flashing, you would need to get load resistors and splice into the wires. Its an easy install!
