WARNING - PIC HEAVY THREAD!!!!

Figured I'd start my own thread, so I can just keep uploading my latest pics. Most will be combo's of regular unedited photos and HDR's.

Started out this morning, up at 5:15, washing by 5:30. Nothing beats this time alone for me and my cars. Absolute bliss. I was bored this morning afterwards, so I took pics. I was too tired and lazy to go to a scenic location so my driveway will have to do for now

Photos taken at about 6:15 am'ish... f - stop range between 5.5 and 10, Nikon D60, manual exposure bracketing for HDR. I posted 2 HDR versions in this post, one heavy and one light. I'll post the regular unedited photos later. For these photos, Tori was washed with CG Honey Dew and ONR, then dried with CG V7. She is wearing Dodo Supernatural Hybrid over CG Jetseal from a week ago. I might coat her in Pinnacle Sig Series II sometime this weekend. Of course she is buffed and swirl free, about 2 months ago.

Thanks man. Yeah I think most people not familiar with Acuras in general, when they see our cars, it doesn't really call out for a 2nd look, but upon further gazing, one starts to appreciate how truly nice and edgy and contemporary everything is. It just flows.

Haha...deal man...deal. What color did you get???

if you have a silver or white car, early morning is best. Light has to go through a bit more atmosphere....so on light colored cars, it doesn't wash it out. Dusk is same, but tends to be a bit more red.... (longer wavelengths )

I'm almost positive that I want the Milano Red. But your pics just about have me sold on the Silver Moon. Haha. I see a lot of silver cars, but not many silver TSXs. Much less TSX SEs.

 

Ah I didn't know you got an SE too. Congrats. SE in silver moon is best hands down lol

 

You happen to know the color code for the SE? Just picked mine up, but it's at Acura right now. Looking to get the lip spoiler and need to get it painted. No Acura parts web site has silver moon listed. Any idea?

 

Hmmmm... Sorry bro. Can't you just call the parts shop at your dealer? They should know. Just ask for touch up paint at the parts dpt. they should know. Sorry I just know silver moon.

 

That color is hard to keep from fading. Honda White (non-pearl) and red dont have a clearcoat. Just look at Milano red Integras. How orange or pinkish they can look.

So is the Silver Moon really called Forged Silver Metallic? I was able to find that list, but no Silver Moon, unless it's under a different name......like forged silver metallic.

It's suppose to be on the inside of the door isint it?

 

Not wanting to jack your thread up......Called Acura though and they said the color code is NH-700M. He said it is called Silver Moon. However, when you search the color code, the older Honda/Acura color name of Alabaster Silver Metallic comes up. This was the color of my 2000 Honda Civic....lol so confused. Maybe they just gave the same color a new name for 2012.

 

silver moon was a color in 2008, that was the silver which i had. i don't know if they are the same or not? the correct color name is forged silver, as shown here http://www.acura.com/tools/bap/build...pFTnxPOnxPMjp8

 

Eh if you check Acura's web site, there is forged silver and silver moon. It's the color two spaces over on the color chart.

 

you are right, i apologize. if you first select the SE model, the only color options are red, black, white, and silver moon. therefore the SE must be Silver Moon.

 

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Guessing it's the same as alabaster silver metallic. I just don't want to paint my spoiler the wrong shade lol.

 

That's why I sprung for one. I fell in love with them. Classy. And sexy.

 

Added some more pics...still no chance to get out to a scenic spot like I do Marilyn. When it's nice out, I reach for the 5.0 keys, rather than Tori's keys. My free time is so limited, it sucks... so since I will be storing Marilyn in a few months, I need to get in as much as I can.

Anyways, taken this morning, Dodo Supernatural as LSP.

 

You know, usually, I don't like Silver cars. If I see a silver car thread I just skip it and move on to one of the colors that I like. But this car changes all that. This car is absolutely breathtaking. Gorgeous car, Gorgeous Pics, Gorgeous Day...and Gorgeous house! Awesome Man!
