I like the rest of your car though, painted interior items get old real quick.
i thought a TSX was "classier" than that to have a "civic" type mod. plastidip has run rampant hehe.
as for this car, it lost me when the taillamps were tinted.

hrmm.. i thought about painting my interior trim but i dont think it looks good at all after seeing this.. may stick with my original plan and get them covered in alcantara.

i think smoked tails/heads only look good on black or white cars.

no offense. just not my cup of tea i guess.

Vanity LEDs

Man its been a while since i have updated this thread. Thats what happens when life consumes you... plus not having money for any mods.

But now ladies and gentlemen... i present to you the mod of mods.... something truly special.....

Yes now my interior is fully LED was gonna do red like the rest of my lighting but decided that the ladies in my life, who would actually be using the vanity mirrors, wouldn't care for it to much.

Hopefully this year, after my tax refund, i can start up with some more mods... dying to do the RV6 downpipe w/HFC combo... will see what else 2013 brings.

Happy New Years everyone.

haha.. well i actually met with the light specialist today.... and its basically not gonna happen.... he has never seen anything like that.... and it would take a lot of R&D he said, which takes time and money... sooooo... i may have to settle for the alternative... gonna do a lil more research and see if there are more specialists in the area.

I actually don't care for it too much. Idk why, it just looks too "thick" or something. And I feel like they didn't know what to do with the grille so they just kinda made it small and attracted your attention to the other bulky parts of the bumper.

Now if they ever made that Mugen concept hood with the vents... mannnn I would probably payy $500 for that!!

RV6 - Downpipe/HFC Combo

Done Deal...

Before

After

Some quick thoughts, as i got this done at 7AM this morning, and drove directly to work:

Pulls a little better, not sure i notice a big difference as of yet. Sound wise.. Definitely a different sound now, and much louder. Is it raspy??.... cant quite tell yet. Cant be that bad if i haven't really noticed it in my 20+ min drive. Could be cause of my CT-E exhaust. I'll post some more thoughts once i have driven it for a while.

ok so here are my initial thoughts after a day of driving.

Car pulls great, and i can really feel the difference. Much more free flowing.

As i said before, the car is definitely louder, but only when giving it a decent amount of gas. When cruising, or slowly accelerating... my exhaust still sounds (for the most part) the same with the nice growl i am used to. When pushing it, it then kicks up the sound a notch... It's a louder, more ricey sound. But i will say this, i do not hear any rasp with my current setup. if there is, my ears aren't picking it up.

I will try and get a sound clip or video up so everyone can hear it for themselves, and give me their opinion.

Not sure i care for how loud it sounds when pushing it. Sometimes i love it, sometimes i think its a bit ricey for my tastes. Still have to give it some time. Thinking about resonator, even though i was against it. I understand it should make it growl most if not all the time then?

Then resonator on the ct-e exhaust bust be hella powerful if you're not getting rasp. But a sound clip will help judge if you are getting it.

ill try to get a video when i have some free time. In talking to some people i know who are car enthusiasts, some say its rasp... but one that doesnt sound bad, others say its not.

Either way its not HORRIBLE to me... like i said, sometimes i like it, sometimes i think its a bit much. i may just deal with it.

Cte short shifter

Game, I have a 12 tsx se 6sp just like you and I am having some difficulty installing the short shifter u have in your car. The instructions that were given to me were for the first gen tsx not the cu2. I tried to just figure it out on my own, but to no avail. I was able to spin the shifter knob off and pull up the console piece with the cup holders and I was able to detach the seat warmers and separate the shift boot, but where do I go from there. Do I have to remove the entire center console like the cubbys, sides, armrest, etc in order to get the shifter box out? Please help!

^^ Yeah he wrote one.

It was still a pain in the ass. I was able to install mine without unhooking the cables too. But literally the worst install I've had to do thus far.
