GameOver's Mod Progress Thread
thanks guys....
I will consider dropping... but not now.. dont have the cash... plus it would probably be 1 to 1 1/2 inch at most.
what do you guys think about this caliper paint? is it any good? the reviews seem to really favor it. If you dont like it do you have any other suggestions?
Found this to have great reviews as well:
I was originally thinking about paint matching the caliper paint, but i am thinking a brighter red will offset the milano red nicely. What you guys think?

I hear you bro, 1-1.5 is you need. That would look killer.Have you considered Red Lugs?
And Maybe Plastidipping the window trim? Eliminate some of the side chrome I think a All Blck and Red Scheme is so dope

MoaarLow, yeah i considered the red lugs, but decided to go with the chrome ones from RonJon.. actually wanted it to match the trim lol!
Tobwac, how do you like the results? Would you recommend it? and did you mask everything or remove the caliper completely to apply?

LOOOOKIN GOOD MAN! rj legends are soooo nice... i agree about them coilovers. its gonna complete the look =) if you ask me ill save up for the coils and do it right the first time =) im excited to see how your car will turn out in the future. anyways, im not a big fan of painted calipers (especially on your 30K plus tsx) =? i think the stock ones look good as is unless you go BBK just IMO. have you seen these though? https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-2009-2014-143/red-calipers-%2Apics%2A-822569/ not all nice looking though heheheh but its an option. im sure there are way more better lookin caliper covers out there. i think killerG posted it somewhere here or in my thread im not sure hehe

Advice on how to paint my stock calipers
Ok guys,
so next thing i really want to do is paint my stock calipers. Seems like its an easy DIY.
Here is how i would go about it... just wondering if this is overkill, and if you have any suggestions.
I would clean the caliper with everything that comes with the G2 Paint Kit (From my research it seems that this is a better paint kit then the DupliColor Paint Set - in the long term). Then I would mask everything and anything i dont want to get touched... then:
I would start off with a few coats of primer:
then paint a few coats using this:
then finish with a few coats of clear coat:
Is this overkill? Should i just be painting it and that's it? i just want something that will last with no fading, chipping, or peeling.
Let me know what you guys think.

I just did "wet rag" then acetone. Masked off then applied like 3 coats of High Heat resistant paint! You should also consider painting your calipers black. Check out Kowloon. They look really good, thought I would throw that out there before you started your project. And the wheels look sick man!

Black Will make them look good and keep the focus on those Sick Legends
Yeah... I just want to do it right! All the way all the time. So I guess I'm buying all 3!
In regards to the color.... its definitely between red and black. I'm leaning toward red because it will be more visible... and I think the brighter red will be a nice contrast to the Milano red and black of the rims..
Black would be great but I think it will be hardly visible with my rims... if someone can Photoshop a pic I may have already taken... or a new one if needed ... I'd appreciate it.
Plus I might get an Acura decal for the calipers too.
