FlipRizzi's '12 CBP Tsx Tech Progress =D

Hey guys!

I'm pretty much going to mod away with this car so might as well start a progress/development thread like everybody else. hehe got some little mods done already but my favorite so far are the RJ rims =) i'm planning on doing a mod or two each month so this may take time. hehe anyways, pretty excited. would welcome all the suggestions! next up on the mod list. CTE icebox =D

Future mods:
HID fogs
LEDs interior
MGP black caliper cover
Cleared headlights
CTE exhaust cat-back
Coilovers

Here she is so far =)

You should black out the rear chrome strip to add to the black out look. Car is beggin for a drop, but I'm sure you already know that.

How did you black out the front headlights where the amber diffusers are? I am trying to avoid throwing my headlights in an oven to heat the glue and pull them out. Can you post pics of a night shot with your headlights on and possibly what it looks like when your turn signal flashes?

its just tint wrapped around it. i got them done along with my window tints hehe i'm really wanting to clear my headlights though and like you i want to avoid putting them in the oven. not that ballsy. im new to all this. but anyways, i took some shots for you but they don't look really good since its just my crappy phone. but the tint does the job for me. makes them darker but do not diminish the light output at all when signaling.
here they are mate.

and a crappy video =)

What color temp did you get for your interior lights? They look warm white...not xenon. And yea the blueish color in the comparison pic is probably from color correction...every side by side pic of an led vs reg bulb comes out looking blue.

Same question as stak ^ I've bought 2 sets of map/dome lights and they look 6000k which I don't like. doesnt match my courtsey/trunk lights which are a nice crisp white. where'd you get yours?

hah dude i was going to get the CTE icebox, CTE exhaust, and P2R TB spacer before the rims but since the exhaust wasnt out that time i went ahead with the rims. were pretty much heading the same direction hehe anyways, I've read great reviews for the tires. very good high performance summer tires IMHO. quiet and grips really well. the treading pattern looks quite different too which i like. i currently have 245/35s right now. I think I may go 40s the next time coz I heard it rides even better and smoother.

and yes indeed! do not give good reviews at all. I just keep circling around. hehehe so im goin to leave it at that! =)

Heatgun is another option.. but that is if you have like half a day to it. I am afraid of it not sealing back up properly and getting condensation in the housing. =/

Are your map/dome lights blueish at all or do they seem really close to white?

they are kinda warm white. Looks very stock. They blend well with the dash lights. Theres no hint of blue at all. The picture quality of one of the pictures earlier in the posts is causing it to come out bluish.

I am also fairly new to modding. That is why I was looking into just blacking out the amber diffusers. Maybe if I can find a cheap housing set from a junk yard, I may try it out..

guys a little clarification. the 2011 and 2012 tsx have the same body still right? I am trying to order a roof spoiler (made for 2011 model) but I want to be sure first that it will fit my 12. here's the 2 i'm looking at just in case anyone else is interested.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-ACUR...#ht_6689wt_868
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACURA-TSX-09...ht_4213wt_1101
the other one is way cheaper but i'm not sure about quality wise. still iffy on both.

also, I'm fixing to order a CT-E icebox tomorrow? any last words of advice before i do so? putting in consideration that I (have never taken off a single bumper in my entire life nor CAI) and all new to the modding scene =) ---> too busy trying to be a murse heheh lame me i know
