question. you are running 245/35 and said you shouldve ran 235/35. is 235/35 a stretch? or is 245/35 slightly stretched already

245 its a slightly stretch but i found out that the stretch also depends on the tire brand idk why

I cant remember the brands they used for this test, but interesting a 255 rated dunlop starspec tire is much wider than a 255 rated hankook tire..by alot. Enough to make a difference. They put the tires right behind eachother and you could see the difference. Every brand is different even though they are all rated the same? weird

The wheels are rubbing against the bit where the rear bumper joins with the rear side fenders as you saw in the photos I uploaded on Flickr and my left side is actually rubbing onto the rear bumper when I'm reversing out of my driveway cause of the weight etc so I was thinking last night to just saw it off. I'll take some more pics later if I can. It's so hot today lol. My guards have already been rolled if you can tell.

Thank you thank you! I've always loved TE's as well and this is my first ever car that I'm actually modding. Even though I wanted a different car to mod so that I can learn from DIY's (DC2R, EK4, EG6 or something) but whatever, I'm lucky enough to have a CU2 instead.

Thank you! No, not all around because 19x9.5 +22 won't fit the fronts. Fronts I'm going for 19x8.5 +29 but even with those, I'm scared they won't fit :S I'll just have to wait and see!

245 is a tad stretched so 235 would just be more stretched.

Yeah, not sure how these Gemstones are but I'll wait a while and when I get my fronts in, I might get some Kumho KU31's?

My knowledge on tyres is not good enough to help out with this sort of stuff hahah. So I can't really give much input. I just ask around from my friends/cousins and see what they say. Any info from you guys would be greatly appreciated

those muffler you got are 14829?
did you have to cut and weld pipes to fit them or they just fit right in?

Yes, they're 14829.

Umm, for the left side, they added in an extra piece of piping to make it reach up to the flange gasket and for the right side, they had to cut a bit and add in a flange gasket.

Hey guys, I think my left side is sticking out more than my right (negative camber). If I wanted to make them the same, is this what I'd need?

Instead of messing with the fender and causing body damage, get hubs on the Volks machined down to +50mm or as close as you can. This way, you can run a decent size tire in the back and not worry about any more rubbing.

Damn! Fitment on the new wheels look sick! Cant wait to see completed shots. a camber kit should do the trick. hopefully you wont need a toe kit. I had to get both. But I was trying to achieve the opposite and get back to/closer to stock specs

You mean like... shave off the metal? Where can I get that done and is it safe? o-o Never heard of that before.. but then again, I am noob lol.

Cheers buddy! Yeah, so will that 1arm that I linked up top be enough? I'm not trying to get back to stock specs, I just want my camber to be the same so the tyres can wear "evenly"

Sure Noob.. LOL.. Here in the States, most good wheel repair shops can do that. You might want to check with you local wheel distributors or repair shops.

I was given the same advice for my front wheels. A good wheel repair/ machine shop should be able to help you with that. I never went through with it tho. I just stiffened my dampers and no more rubbing. But your fitment is more aggressive than mine. Not sure if that will fix your rubbing problems.

I think the camber arms should be enough to get you even. The oem toe arms are adjustable to an extent. So they should be able to get you back to 0. But itd be best to ask an alignment guy. Get one of those lifetime alignment deals and see what they think is needed. If toe arms end up being necessary, you can always go back for free after installing the new toe arms.

would an alignment tell you how far off spec you are on either side?

@swarlos - Alright, I'll go sometime this week to a wheel shop or something and see what they can do. My dampers are on max settings atm and I'm still rubbing ahahha. A few of my friends are complaining about the stiffness BUT I DON'T GIVE A SHIT. IT'S MY CAR BETCHEZ. And I shall ask about that life time toe arm thingy =o might not only be in the states or something hahah.

@Killer - Yeah, when you go to get a wheel alignment, they give you your current specs (toe and camber) and then they give you the specs afterwards on what they did to your car.

I don't know how to change it Ed LOL. There's too many options?

And more pics on my Flickr thingy.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/74873745@N05/6759078855/

Yes, I know, some pics are blurry.. it's because my lens has a scratch on it and sometimes it focus' on the scratch :S

Edit: Warm start:

Edit 2: that sound at the end of each time I step on the pedal is because it's my roof's metal sheets vibrating in case you think it's the car making weird noises.

I THINK I do feel a loss in torque.. but when the car is very warm (I've been driving for 30+ mins) and I step on it in 2nd, it goes pretty quick. I haven't thrashed my car ever since I've gotten my Magnaflows on because 1. New wheels = more attention = I will get raped by the cops more easily and harder if I get busted. 2. Scared to speed now since my friend got his car impounded for 1 month for going 80km over the speed limit and my dad is serious when it comes to speeding.

HAhahah, true true. Well, when I step on it in 2nd and the engine is warm, it goes pretty well and the high end power feels better.

Won't be in until another 1-2 months

if the rims take 2 months why dont you just remove them for now? saves the rims + tires from erryday wear and tear and possible thievery?
