Early Christmas present from the wife

UPS delivered my Christmas present from the wife, 19x8 +48 RonJon Legends in Liquid Silver finish. It's a little early but she thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of the Black Friday sale that was going on a save a few extra bucks.

It's going to be a little bit before I decide what tires to get and purchase them. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be getting them in 245/35/19 though.

And the car they're going on

Lucky you, how are you going to respond in kind to her for Christmas? That is hard to beat! Are you going to keep the same outside tire diamater or are you going to go larger? All Season or summer? Let us know your tire choice and the impact to ride quality/noise/handling. Good luck and look forward to the pics. PS - Your grill looks awsome. This car looks the best in black, I had a black car once and swore to never have one again - those darn swirl marks and "clean for a day" problem. I went with the Grigio, closest I can get to the dark color.

I'm planning on going quite a bit wider with 245/35/19. They're only 0.39% different in overall diameter than stock. While the thinner 235/35/19 is actually 1.45% different. I'm probably going to go with a good all-season tire since we see a good amount of rain here in NC and since we don't get much of a winter, they'll probably stay on through the year.

Black is hard to keep clean. I keep it waxed pretty good and have a nice buffer so swirls aren't much of an issue. Don't really have any yet.

Those are super sweet and should look great on your ride (I agree post pix asap). Also, the painted grill looks great too. Upon first glance I couldn't figure out what was different until I read the caption.

No, they don't come with them. But I picked up an extra set of '09 TSX TPMS sensors for $50 from another board member.

I have also read that only Acura dealership has equipment to install TPMS.

Cool

It's been a while since I've roamed the TSX forum (especially 2nd gen) and I must say...your TSX looks .

I can't even explain how much better it looks with the grill painted black. And just the fact that it's black in general. Best choice IMO!!

I just wish they didn't resemble the Civic's so closely.

Yeah, its as easy as cake. But whoever is doing it has to do it once before to know that you have to tighten with a wrench past the moment it feels like it stops, you almost have to overtighten to break the threshold, then it gets easier.

On a side note, when are you getting these babies put on, I'm so excited to see what they will look like on your car!

Thanks once again for the wheels!

I'm planning on buying the tires just after the holidays. We just had our first child born last week and with Christmas shopping, I want to make sure I've got enough spare cash to cover everything. My 4th quarter bonus from work gets payed out the first week of January, so I'll probably take some of that to purchase the tires. So expect them on the car in mid to late January.

congratulations on the baby!
is it a boy or a girl?

that color-matched grille looks awesome. I'm highly considering getting the new TSX, same color and that would be one of the first things I would do.

Can you post more pictures of the car right now from a different angle?

Cant wait till the rims go on that beauty.

Thanks! We had a boy.

Here's a few extra shots of the car. I don't have many with the painted grill though.

Wow, painting the grill does wonders for the front end. I no longer instinctively recoil in horror.

I highly recommend it. The quality is top notch since it's made by Acura, so fitment is not an issue whatsoever like you get with some 3rd party kits. Plus the bumpers look a lot more aggressive than stock. The sides aren't bad either, they help make the car appear a little lower than it does without them.

Would have been $125 but I got it done free and made money from it. This is because I sold the body shop my stock bumpers which I still had. They do all the body work for the Acura dealer I got my car and were interested in them. So I walked out of there with a painted grill and a check.

Yessir. Got them Tuesday afternoon and had them mounted onto the wheels that same afternoon and onto the car that evening. Washed the car up yesterday morning and took these pictures. I'll email you the high-res ones shortly, just have to do a small amount of post processing then they'll be on their way. Thanks again for the great product, they look amazing.
