09 TSX CTE Supercharged

Here's some pictures of my daily driven TSX. The supercharger makes it a bit more fun to drive but it's a really heavy car. It's dirty...😬 And IM not quite done with the height/camber... Maybe a little lower👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻.

CTE Blower 3" Pulley aftercooled/meth injection, cat deleted S2 header, Magnaflow mufflers, Flashpro, Gram Light 18" rims.

I would like to see your meth setup. Can you please expand.

I mounted the pump right by the windshield washer reservoir behind the bumper on the passenger side. It has plenty of space and I just T'd the line that goes out so I could use the existing reservoir for my water/meth mix (also works fine as windshield washer, so you don't lose functionality.

Just followed the instructions. I'm using the same ign on wire that I used for the aftercooler pump (the one you helped me find a routing location from inside the cabin) and the boost sensor activates the relay.

Then I installed the nozzle right before the throttle body

Nice, I forgot I helped you with that lol.

Which Aftercooler did you go with?
Why did you choose Merc inlet over Vittuned?
Why Meth injection over E85?
Who will/did you tune with?
What kinda numbers are you seeing?

Also, don't let anyone accidently put washer fluid in there now haha. I would put a warning sticker on the cap!

It's the Merc aftercooler and inlet. Just bought them both as a package because Vittuned.com was out of stock at that time. I really don't know the difference. I'd imagine they are similar in effectiveness.

No E85 where I'm at. But meth is pretty easy. I just mix the -20 windshield washer fluid with 3 bottles of yellow Heet. Plus I had really good results with meth injection on my 8thgen supercharged K20Z3 so I'm already sold on its benefits with a roots blower.

I'm still tuning with Vit. Not tuning with meth yet and I haven't received any numbers yet so I'm not quite sure. I'll have a better idea when we get closer to being finished.

I peak out barely touching 10psi at redline. I want to go for 12psi but I think I'm maxed out on pulley sizes. What's your psi? Any ideas on getting higher than 10psi with our car?

Yeah, I get about 12psi... as he adjusts cam angle timing and your redline increases to 7600 you'll see the higher pressure. But with meth, your pressure may actually go down.. which is fine. PSI doesnt=power, so I would just let Vit do his thing and see where you land. I imagine you're gunna be sitting around 350WHP.

Are you M/T or Auto?
What size injectors are you running?
When you start spraying/increasing timing you're gunna want 1000cc injectors at a very minimum, and probably an upgraded pump if you haven't already done it. Just watch your duty cycle during your data logs. Vit will warn you of impending problems though.

M/T and 1000cc injectors.

What kind of fuel are you using?
How does cam angle affect PSI?
A. Was it increased angle = more or less boost?
B. Or was it peak cam angle = better flow = lower boost?

I'm using 93 on my tune. We have E85 in the area, but never pulled the trigger on getting the setup to run it.

Basically, as you increase cam timing you decrease boost, you can imagine it visually. If you have 0 cam advancement then your intake/exhaust is opening/closing at full stroke (giving maximum pressure build up in the cylinder). But as you advance the timing, you are opening/closing the valves before the full stroke;effectively decreasing pressure in the cylinder as it escapes. Reference below excerpt from "Sport Compact Turbos & Blowers"

Too much advancement though can cause pre-detonation/knock (or even valve to piston contact). It's all a delicate balance. You try to even out the power band so you have even torque/power in the low end and high end. As you advance timing you get more power in the low end, but less at the top of the range. So that's where you see the cross over, high advancement at low rpm, and slowly start pulling timing, as you increase RPM. You can see it clearly in my Map below.

When VIT was tuning mine I had 0 cam timing, making like 15psi and I felt like I had no power. And this makes sense after the explanation from above. Now all of this is over-simplified because we aren't taking into account things like VTEC, Inlet Air Temp,Fuel type,Air Fuel Ratio... or even your meth setup. You can see why we pay VIT

[QUOTE=jomo;15608017]M/T and 1000cc injectors.

Hey Jomo, Nice work Man....

I've got a quick question, since there are not to many on this setup. Would it be a waist of $$$ if it was an A/T. That's what I have, and I've always been fun of this setup, but not sure if having an A/T would be more trouble than enjoyment!!!

What do you consider a waste of money?

Supercharging an automatic isn't really any more trouble.. it's the same process as the M/T. Are you gunna have less HP.. yeah. Are you still gunna have to shift with paddle-shifters-- yeah. But hey, it's still an increase in HP, and definitely fun.
