Valve Adjustment?

Does anyone know if we need valve adjustments or do we have hydraulic lifters?

over time exhaust valves get tight.
and intake valves usually stay the same or a little loose.

and they usually are pretty much in spec..

honda calls for inspection of valves and not adjustments unless VERY out of spec.

not to sure why none of you guise use the official Acura's owners website...

it outlines EVERY maintenance item, tells you about recalls, and just general information.

plug in your make and model and vin and amazing interesting facts pop up

I think you still need adjustment every 50k or something.
Utah told me to get mine adjusted when I had posted about that weird noise my car was making a while back. He also said they would be required to adjust it anyways after replacing my VTC actuator.

Did you get the actuator changed already?? How much did it put you back?? Mine's doing the cold morning grind but I'm out of warranty with like 80k miles and want to change it before I get the flashpro and tune...

Yeah i got it changed a while ago. since it's a TSB i complained to the dealer like 10 times and each time they said "could not reproduce sound"

I kept going back so they eventually replaced it under "good will"... which they should have just done in the first place.

Mine was grinding horribly every morning. But it STILL will do it sometimes on very cold mornings or if it has been sitting undriven for 2+ days.
It's bad by design.

Ehh I just hit the 50k marker. My engine makes this clicking noise when I gas on it. I can only hear it when I'm next to a wall though. Should I get it checked?

REALLLLLYYY??? I heard that around 65K or so, I thought I was going crazy with the noise. I always thought it was the wheels I put on or something, and I could only here it next to walls haha like it was echoing.

So what is actually clicking?

Mine does the same, pretty sure it has something to do with our noisy injectors , I'm only at 24k doubt it's an issue

That's interesting, Im pretty sure I still hear that noise and I have the CTE injectors. Then again, I think they did some kind of magical "boring" of the OEM injectors haha. Didn't look into it, just installed them and didn't ask questions lmao
