Richie,

Just to be sure, this will fit my 2012 Accord EX 5mt right? And are they easier to install then the 3G TL precats?

I need a little more power out of my Accord lol hopefully the precats, intake, pulley and test pipe will add that.

The shop moved me to Monday, I was a little less than pleased, but this is a Friday before saturday night street fights at the strip, so I had to relinquish my spot. That gives me time to change oil this weekend, and then go get the stock pipe checked. If everybody didn't care about before and after this would have been on and tuned a few weeks ago.

Oh well, no rush.

Apologies again for the delay, I am kind of at the mercy of the shops out in my area.

It will fit. At least 20 times easier then a 3G TL. The engine bay is so big!

I got called in this morning early for work, so got it moved to Wednesday at 11 am CT. Already cleared it with the bosses, so, we should have the baseline Wednesday, then I can finally swap the part out. It has been tons of fun trying to get this all set up.

I got the baseline done today, it's all good. As soon as I can get home I will scan it or take a pic and upload it. Unless someone doesn't mind me emailing it to them, and then they could post it up? I don't have an imgur account or anything.

I have a takeda CAI on the car, that's it, I pulled the p2r downpipe off. It will be for sale here in a bit, as soon as I get a box for it.

I will be doing the install myself, I will probably do it Friday night would be my guess. Then I just got to get up to the dyno when they have an open timeslot to have it dynoed, and then tuned.

I am thinking CT SC, but I'm going to have it ported by steigmeier first, and then get the IMT throttle body adapter to run the ZDX throttle, and have it tuned again with bigger injectors. Starting to come together slowly...

Oh so the dyno was with just the CAI? Do you think it added any power? I'm still trying to figure out which intake to get and I'm going to get the p2r throttle body spacer.

that is one ugly torque curve, wouldn't be surprised if that is courtesy of running an intake on the car and not tuning it.

^^ That would be my guess. I'm going to go by autozone this afternoon and pick up the 02 removal socket, and give it a shot at removing the pipe this evening.

After that I'll setup a time to have it tuned N/A. After that I think I'll go right into the CT SC setup, as soon as the new job has smoothed out and normal. But I'm going to get the unit ported and the IMT or merc racing larger TB (think ZDX throttle) adapter with smaller pulley and injectors.

The base dyno was 75 USD.

sounds like you have big plans. I'm probably going to sc my tsx. but seeing as it's an auto, I'm not looking to go more than 5-6 psi on the s/c....I just need a bit more juice out of the car.

Good luck...I've asked twice in this thread with no response.

I lost interest and bought a GoPro instead, though. Lol.

I'm pretty sure there is a deal/discount if you buy the PCD + HFC/test pipe.

This may be covered here somewhere, but i dont the time to read it all right now. What difference in sound does this give off? Is it ricey or more of a low growl? I recently installed the ice box intake which def improved the sound, but would like a little more of the growl. Besides the performance gains of course.

I have not changed my exhaust, this will only be between motor and factory catalytic convertor. I will upgrade to their HFC in the future, but don't want to spend the cash currently to do all of this at once. Plus I'm doing the dyno's out of pocket first, then afterwards should hopefully get reimbursed by RV6.

We have deleted both cats but still running the stock exhaust. We will only modify when we put the turbo on. The exhaust sounds raspy, still quiet at idle but a rasp around 3000 rpm till about 4000 then I can only hear the intake, especially with the RRC manifold it is very loud

Has anyone received this internationally? I've asked Richie repeatedly and no answer lately, tough he was very communicative at first.

how have you reached out to him? via email, pm, forums? best bet is to phone call...but I know they're really busy + its not a huge shop with a huge support staff so communication isn't going to be consistent. That said, they've earned their trust on these boards.

If the after install dyno looks good, I def want to do this. Besides the HP gains, I'm looking for better sound too. I recently installed the CT icebox and like the sound it added. Hopefully this will add some more growl to it and nothing ricey.

I was looking into the cat back exhaust from CT-E also. but from what I read it didn't help at all with performance, but did add some growl.

Anyone install a cat back exhaust? If so, from where and what results did you get? Wondering how it would pair with this...

Best bet would be to call. I'm local and sometimes RV6 takes a bit to get back to me. They're not blowing you off, they're that busy working on current and future projects. I can tell you right now they're currently obtaining and setting up new equipment in their shop in order to be more efficient and produce higher quality products.

My time volunteering to be the tester of the PCD prototype has long been over, but I still volunteer helping out at the shop. I stand by their shop and by their products. RV6 had a production PCD ready for me in exchange for the prototype. Since the demand for PCD's has been pretty good, I told them I would be willing to give mine up and wait for the next batch so they could ship mine out to someone immediately.

hmm....sorry to say this, but what's the point of doing a pre dyno and do another after the installation which isn't within the same day?? Unless the before and after dyno's done within hrs (even then), the increase reading wouldn't be accurate.....

Dyno software takes into account environmental factors into its calculation. At the bottom of the printout, you can see the variables used in the calculation.

Tell you what, you come by and do the work for me.

I have a packed schedule, and if you want to dismiss the pre and post feel free.

^^ Agreed... This is really nick-picking. At the end of the day, we are going back to the same dyne on a relatively tame N/A motor with a mild upgrade in parts. Any margin of error on this level is really insignificant. So Optimus, a big thank you for stepping up and giving us some tangible numbers beyond our usual butt dyno
