I already have the flashpro. I am on a waiting list to have it tuned at a local drift shop. I am willing to do a before and after down pipe install, but if there is no gain (read financial benefit one way or another) for me doing a before, I'll just do the after.

The next step will be the supercharger, but I'm going to have stiegemeier port the blower before I have it put on and tuned. After I can save up the funds again do the IMT aftercooler and TL throttle swap piece. After that's all done, it'll just be standard maintenance items and maybe an LSD with wider tires all the way around. Then maybe look into an older integra or crx, something pre emissions, so I don't have to get it smogged, and can go crazy with a turbo, or possibly a mark III supra or FC.

A have a few questions before I make a purchase of this PCD.

1. The engines bays of the TSX and CU2 are exactly the same right? I have a 2011 model, I4.
2. Do our cars have 2 oxygen senors?
3. The RV6 PCD has a spot to link up the old sensor right?
4. Can I use the stock sheild/cover to cover up the new RV6 PCD as laws here require a car to have 2 cats if it comes stock with 2 cats?
5. Ben, did the sound of the car increase/change by a lot? Scared police will notice it more or maybe they can tell that I've removed a cat.

Thank you.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes, both sensors get put back on.
4. You won't be able to put the stock heat shields back on. You might be able to convince someone the resonator is the 2nd cat.
5. If you're just cruising around driving sensibly, there is a slight increase in volume. Wide open throttle, you'll get a bit more noise, but you probably shouldn't be going WOT in front of cops anyway

Thanks a lot for the info thunderbt3!

I'm just scared they might bust me on removing a cat when I'm supposed to have to.. But I'll keep my stock pipe still of course so I can swap it back.

I think the DIY is pretty simple? How would I remove the sensor and put it back on? I'm sort of unsure about that.. besides from that, is everything else just bolt off and bolt on?

Hahah of course. I'm just worried about 2k-4k RPM mainly because anything above 5k and when VTEC kicks in, my car screams anyway.

Edit: Now all I need is a quote of the RV6 shipped to Australia

Yes, everything is pretty much bolt off bolt on. I would recommend shooting a little bit WD-40 or some sort of lubricant on the stock rubber exhaust hanger to get it to slide off easier. For sensors, you can try removing the precat with sensors attached and then use an adjustable/crescent wrench to get the sensors off. There is also a O2 sensor tool which is pretty much a deep socket with a slot in it so you can put the wire pigtail through. It allows you to remove the sensors before unbolting the precat.

Ben, did you DIY the install with just jack stands and a trolley jack? No need for the car to be on a hoist? How long did it take you to install it roughly?
$120 is shipping with USPS or EMS. There is a maximum girth restriction of 79" so hopefully we can find a box that fits the requirements. Otherwise we can ship it in 2 piece

We have a 8G Accord lined up to do the dyno. Everything has been so hectic around here that we thought we would just release the product and let the community roll with it.

Done, I will refund you for the baseline and post PCD runs. If you post a dyno of a baseline, PCD run with no tune and PCD tuned with flash pro. I will need a receipt a maximum value of $180. Offer valid for the first person to get this done properly.

^wow, the fact that his willing to subsidize the cost of dyno'ing the car is amazing. Props to a legit parts retailer.

I just placed the order for this. I will get the car dynoed, and then swap the part and have it tuned. After it's tuned, I will try and upload it to the flashpro forum, as the 09 doesn't have anything available on there yet.

you need to swap the part, dyno it without tuning, and then tune and dyno...you won't get reimbursed otherwise

This won't show the difference between before and after installation for the people that just want to use the PCD and not get flashpro. RV6 did say they need a before, after, and after tune plots for full $180 reimbursement.

Mad props to you Optimus for stepping up to the plate!

lol, :scratches head: we said the same exact thing...i said that he'll need to dyno stock, with pcd, and then with pcd and tuning...we'll be able to compare stock vs pcd without tuning

So what kind of power increase would you expect with the dp and high flow cat on a supercharged car? I know I'd have to get the flash pro also. How easy would it be to tune it? My car already has the CT SC so I'm guessing I'd see some pretty decent gains.

Not sure how much HP just the DP and HFCAT + tune would add, but during the development of your SC kit, they tried a smaller pulley which would add more boost. The limitation CT-E hit was that the pre-CAT would get too hot. Since the PCD is out now, that limitation is no longer there which means we'll be able to run the smaller pulley for more boost! Ill be sure to go with the ceramic coating just for that.

Just a guess, SC + high boost pulley + PCD + HFCAT/Test pipe + Flashpro would yield more power than the V6. Maybe close to what the 3.7L engine puts out in the AWD TL.

Edit:
Civic Si (2.0L) made 306whp and 204 wtq with the stage 2 pulley. AWD TL makes 305ish at the crack.

I already have the smaller pulley installed. Last dyno with the car, it made about 275-280 at the wheels.....

Damn! Those are great numbers. I remember reading somewhere a while back that ~300WHP is close to the limit for the stock internals. Even still, that's plenty of pep to get around town and passing power on the highway. Guess I will be looking at 2 S/C installs this year (TSX and RX8).

optimus, if you are not down to dyno, I will get the PCD and dyno it, but Flaspro is outside of my means, so I could only offer a before/after dyno NO tune

I am calling the shop to set up an appointment to have this dynoed before, and after. I may have to drive car home and swap it, if they can't fit me into the shop. But I didn't want to do anything yet until I had the baseline first.

Reason I couldn't do this sooner, is the shop has been booked as it's race season, and getting in for a daily driver is a little hard when they have top dollar customers paying for big builds.

I just set an appointment for Monday at noon to do the "baseline" run.

After that's completed I'll setup the appointment for the post, and then the tune. Only part on the car is the takeda CAI. So, it's fairly standard, and hopefully will give everyone an idea of what they are looking at.

I will also change the oil this weekend so I have fresh oil for the dyno run. I run royal purple 5w-20.

I did finally get the pipe back, which I appreciate.

I am also talking to a few companies about possibly turbo or supercharger for the car, as I'm ready to go. I think it's a real shame that the CT doesn't come with an m90, it comes with a m62. But that's for a different thread.

Got ours yesterday and love it, installation had to be one of the easiest things I have ever installed. The power is very nice and pulls hard all the way to redline. We are now fully catless with stock exhaust
