Questions for: RV6 09 TSX Header/Downpipe

Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm definitely interested in this.
I had a few questions before wanting to buy the hardware:

1. How does this compare to the skunk2 version (or is it basically the same, just separate pieces for your own preference)
2. I see posts saying this is header / downpipe. There technically is no "header" correct? Or is this a header/downpipe inclusive mod?
3. when ppl say tuned with this hardware, are they talking hondata reflash or an actual custom tune, or both? Can I just use a flashpro chip without getting a custom tune to take more advantage of this mod?
4. If I don't get a flashpro, will this mod throw a CEL? If so how do I get rid of it.

Reason I'm asking a few of these is because Idk if we'll get a flashpro anytime soon.

Thanks!

1. Like you said; basically the same except with RV6 you have 2 pieces, instead of 1.
2. Technically there is no header mod, as the exhaust manifold on the K24Z3 is integrated to the head of the engine. So your traditional header mod (4-2-1, etc.) do not apply here. There is a cat after our exhaust manifold, and you're essentially deleting it with the PCD/downpipe/"header".
3. A tune on the TSX will require a Hondata FlashPro. There are some other Russian/European chip solutions, but they aren't really discussed here on AZine. For all intents and purposes, FlashPro is the only option. You don't need to get your car tuned by a professional to make use of the FP as it comes with a base calibration you can use. Of course if you want to take full advantage of the FP, you should consult a professional.
4. The mod could throw a CEL with or without the FP, depending on how tight the defouler is, and the orientation of it. With FP, however, you could disable the secondary O2 sensor, preventing it from ever throwing a CEL. I've had my RV6 PCD on for about 10,000 km now and haven't thrown a CEL once.

You will notice some gains without a FP/tune, but you'll feel it even more with it. If you're in for non-turbo performance mods, this should be your first mod.

The biggest difference would be quality and design. All of our downpipes are welded here in the US with the best welding techniques. We use a flexpipe that is properly sized and in the correct position to absorb engine movement and allow for maximum clearance.

We also use properly sized 2.5" tubing to keep the exhaust velocity up and maintaining the most low end torque. We're a small company and take pride in our work. We stand behind our product if you have any issues.

Skunk2 customer that is now a RV6 customer.
Interesting drive to work this morning.......Skunk2 Downpipe.
