Question: Performance for TSX V6 from TL parts bin

I have a 2010 TSX V6 performance-wise I have a K/N drop-in resonator delete, Custom Magna flow exhaust with 1 resonator and Secondary cat delete. Stock my car ran a 14.4@98mph 1/4 mile pass dyno 230hp. After the mods above 14.1@99mph 1/4 mile dyno 240hp. My precats and J-pipe are stock. Im determined to get that TSX to run a high 13 sec 1/4 mile pass. I know that if I drop a little weight, change the down pipes and install a real intake it will drop the time. I know that the DP/J pipe for a TL can be fabricated to fit but does any mfc. make the parts for the TSX? Does the TL part fit the EGR tube and clearance? What about the CEL? Has anyone had luck with O2 simulaters or other methods? What do you think? I want the opinion of those who know what they are talking about not speculating.

id say there should be some light weight crank pulleys available usually good for 10/10 and light wheight wheels are huge diff rotational weight reduction can often result in as much 3x there statict weight equivelant ... id also look into your t stat and fan switch for compatiblities with other honda ... little cooler temps usually has the ecu do things like advance timing ...

^there is.

its called the J&R ECU which was developed for the 3rd GEN TL.
but since you use the same engine, it can be easily ported over.

http://ww.tl.acurazine.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=806456

check that thread out for all the features.
and if you are serious, get in contact with Rodney of J&R

also, there is a guy on here with a vsix tsx running in the 13s.
i'm surprised you havent seen his thread

Saw a light weight stock diameter pulley for the 3.5v6 at XLR8 for $200 for the TL. Does the v6 in the TSX use the same diameter pulley? I am not interested in under driving based on some of the other conversations I have been reading. The XLR8 pulley looks like there are no splines and it relies solely on the key to keep it locked in position. Is this ok or are the stresses larger? Lastly if I am not under driving, so how much benefit will I really see.

I have a 2010 bone stock v6 TSX.

It should be the same pulley. I dont see why Honda would change that part for a different car. You can always check the part numbers. Good find!
