Installed Custom Exhaust

I installed a custom single cat back using an invidia muffler from an S2000. I know im gonna get mixed opinions about having it single, but i like it, and i can always add the other muffler (i have it lying in my room).

Here are some pics and video. The video compilation was done very sloppy but it gives you a taste of what it sounds like. I did not rev very high.

as for any performance gains..i honestly cant really feel any yet. The oem exhaust piping is very straight and i basically just went from 2.25oem piping to now 2.5inch piping.

Sounds nice and throaty. During rev ups it did get a little raspy, I wonder if installing the other one will remedy this. Overall nice job, you might be one of the first to do this to a 2G.

are you running straight pipe with no resonator? adding in one straight flow resonator between the cat and exhaust can might sound better

there is a resonator. the sound is very very deep all the way through the to about 4000 rpms; once it hits vtec, the sound is not deep but a high BWAHHH sound very...angelic lol. feels like im going so smooth and fast when really im not haha.

it may sound raspy in the video but in all honesty...its becaues of the video. i filmed this using my kodak digital camera and i guess the quality is not that good, but when has digital camera videos ever done exhaust sounds justice.

Any reason why you didn't just mimic the piping from the OEM exhaust? How is highway driving? One thing I do not miss is the 70MPH drone sound I used to have on my previous cars when modified.

Blech. Man, no offense but that sounds sloppy as hell and does not do this car any justice.

That sounds mean TTK5! Love it!
I'm not a fan of singles, but am a big fan of cannons!

I think we are going to have to change the cat to get any gains out of the exhaust.

BUMP !

Sorry, havent seen ur reply. Yes I like single exhaust. When I remember the fact that TSX has 4 cylinders and there is a single pipe going almost all the way to the back, I like it even more. I am planning to go custom too. I might do it next spring or so. As for now... mmmmm Hondata

I like the way it sounds. I'd hate that sound if it came from a civic but coming from a TSX it aint bad, the growl matches the look of the car.

but you should definitely put the 2nd exhaust in too. mainly for me because dual exhausts just look badass.

What a waste of money, even those cheese-ball universal mufflers are over $100 each.

Take a whiz in any one of them, I bet not one is connected to the exhaust.
