Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Ive raced cars for a long time NA / forced induction and "I" think a basically stock 05 CL9 TSX 6spd NA K24 running 14 anything off a soft launch trapping close to 100 mph in the quarter with less than 200 dyno hp is pretty fast. Its fast enough to keep up with R/T hemis, G35's, TL's and a shit load of other cars that should be faster. Now if you want to add nitrous or forced induction then fast would be the 9-11 sec range. For anything faster you need 2 wheels, a big block or a turbo the size of Texas. Now if I drop some weight, add drag radials, delete the ac/ps, K20 head/ big cams and Kpro then we will be running lower times.

I don't why everyone is saying the TSX is slow... this (early) morning I went for a drive and was barely off the onramp and on the freeway when I hit 110mph, and said "shit, I'd better slow down before I get arrested for reckless driving."

The worst part was that it didn't feel like I was going that fast. I could have kept going, and gone much faster. It's like someone giving you your favorite food, and you put it in your mouth, and you chew it, and then you're forced to spit it back out.

I agree, the TSX/TL can get you in trouble if you aren't careful.
Heck, I started adding performance mods, and my 3.2 can FLY.
Albeit, its not the fastest thing in the world, it can destroy most cars on the road.

Eveyone here is trying to bash on me saying that it's not possible for my car to be as fast or even faster than a 350z. What they don't know is that I spend my free time and my money on my car trying to make it better. Just because I don't show off my car here in the forums doesnt not mean anything.

It *is* all relative. I've owned and had extended possession of a few relatively high horsepower cars in my life. (Relative to their original output.) I don't think the 350Z, particularly the 03~ ones are that fast, even with 8 psi of Paxton aftercooled boost, but having driven both, stock to stock, the TSX is not a purpose built street bruiser. For me, it's a very efficient, comfortable daily driver & it does a great job of that.

Having driven 246whp/169tq 00 Si, 485whp 02 LSI, 550hp/625tq 72 GS455, 600whp 393 Windsor, etc, I'd agree my perception may be a bit askew.

Then, when I encounter a 1000-1400 +hp (GT, 57 Chev, Supra, etc.,) then the other cars mentioned pale in comparison.

I remember being 16 & thinking my 71 SS454 was the be all to end all. It was probably a mid 14 second car. = /

so what the fuck have you done to it?
thats what we are eluding to.
why tell a story and not tell all the details?
if you have a manual tranny, that means you have the slow as bawls i4.
Please clarify, thanks.

btw, the 3G TL guys are turbo'ing their 6's and beating exotics.
Have you dumped at least 12g's into your car?

how do you plan to tune your car?

and it seems like you havent bought the CT supercharger yet, so you are not the fastest in teh world.
I rest my case.

I also doubt the SC will bring you up past 260 to the wheels.
you need 260+ for a 3500lb car to defeat anything worth mentioning.

Her "Competition Clutch, this is Veronica."

Me "Hi, do you manufacture any clutch kits for 09> Acura TSX?"

Her "Oooh, sorry, not at this time >2008 only."

Me "Anything in R&D yet?"

Her "Not that I'm aware of, hopefully soon."

So...is that a sprung hub 6 puck, or the manly 6 puck unsprung Stage 4 CC?

Oh yeah, forgot to ask, what's the part number for the aftercooler?

Nate at CT-E doesn't have any plans on building one, AFAIK.

I'm all motor and I have done some weight reduction nothing too crazy yet. I will custom make a after cooler once the s/c kit comes out first is the motor so it can handle the power. As tunning goes blacktrax will do a custom tune. Part number for the clutch I will give it to you once I'm home but the clutch is for a RSX type s not for a cu2. This is why i don't post shit everyone has their stupid or smart opinion about everything.

I believe someone has already researched (Rob @ Lynwood Acura) the RSX-S and 08 TSX OE part numbers and has yet to come up with a fit.

It *could* very well be that there's any number of slight variations that could accomodate an install. It could be as simple as a disc from one kit, a pressure plate from a second & a throwout bearing from a third that may work together.

It's a credibility issue, Ronald. You did post you already "smoked" a completely different class of car with mods you haven't sourced yet when you state the car you raced was 'heavily modded'.

P.S. 'All motor' as you state you are now is a very different animal than a purpose build engine for use with a power adder like turbo or s/c. Nitrous doesn't mind high compression, which is part & parcel with 'all motor'.

a slight weight reduction cant help your i4 cu2.

My 6MT TL has about 250 to the wheels and lightened about 70lbs. I'm still having trouble beating "race" cars.
while, I do put up a good fight, I'm not surpassing them at bus lengths.

TSXRONALD. Were you able to get the part number for the clutch that you are running. When I have spoke to CC they were thinking the RSX one's will not work. Please let me know. I am in need of a clutch.

There is an older guy here in florence SC with a murdered out z06, debadged, and rebadged with a big ass lingenfelter (spelling) vinyl across his windshield. as soon as you pull away fast he dumps the clutch and flies by. Usually at the next light you can see his wife hitting him from the passenger side yelling. It's priceless really, totally see myself in the same situation in 40 years. lol

I've tried a few times to catch him off guard, in my tsx, brothers si, and friends wrx, no luck at all.

This man is truly a hero to us all. I wish to be like him one day.

I heard the new z06 lapped the ring 20 seconds faster than last years model and was a hair slower than a zr1 =|

Guys, if I recall correctly, Mr.NC's TSX is extremely fast. He had it twin-turboed and smoked a lamborghini mucierlago in it
