looking to buy a JDM grille for my ride. does anyone know if the JDM style one is the same? the ebay ones selling for $149 may be showing fake pictures i cannot tell.

 

JDM style usually means replica, aka made to be the same style. JDM Grille is more likely to not be a replica, but still i dunno lol

 

hmm thanks but i still don't know how big of difference they compare... i might just have fork out extra cash so i won't regret not getting authentic JDM.

 

Peeps have said they bought it but i dont think i have seen any pictures yet but try a search here on jdm grille and you should find them.

Be careful in that 09-10 and 11+ have different grilles and bumpers and fogs. And they cannot be mixed only fit as a set.

I found a real grille on australia ebay paid 360 to my door......fyi.

Japanese Domestic Market - i.e. cars sold for the Japanese market.

JDM as said is japanese domestic market but it makes more than cars. JDM is a term for products in the japanese market.

If something is labeled as the JDM grill, chances are its a replica. If it is called JDM style, it is admitting to being a replica.
If it is truly JDM it will cost a good deal of money because authentic JDM parts are in demand here in the USA.

Example:
The grill to the JDM Accord... or Honda Inspire would probably say "JDM Honda Inspire Grill".
A title like "JDM ACCORD GRILL" would be a red flag because an authentic seller would know what damn car the grill came from and anyone wanting it would know what car it came from.

Most of the time you will find replicas of anything JDM. If you want something authentic look for a "Authentic Honda OEM Product" badge. If it is a plastic part it is a lot of the time stamped in the molds like mudflaps, visors, etc.

The real ones are the way to go if you want quality and proper fitment.

Someone asked me today if my car was imported!

I loved the fact that I could honestly say that it was imported from Japan and had to wait 6 months for it

 

anything with "style" after it usually means fake, bad quality, bad fitment
