CTE supercharger intsall

So, the directions tell me to evacuate the ac to install a spacer. Is this necessary or can I install without doing this step?

Also, you don't need to flush/drain the coolant.. I was kinda mad I did it at the end. haha

Yeah that too. I did have to drain a little though to clear out that coolant hose thats under the intake manifold.

I used a 1/4 inch extension with a short socket. Won't work with the long sockets.

Are you using DW injectors? Mine won't fit the manifold. They're way too slim.

Well they don't exactly snap in. You have to slightly grease the o-rings on both ends of the injectors and just pressure fit them into the manifold and the fuel rail.
What's the model number of the injectors you have?

I'm thinking I need an adapter, kinda like the rsx injectors.

I don't know what the deal is but the injectors feel wayyy too loose on the manifold. They should be snug and kind of "snap" in. Not literally, but it feels like it. The oem injectors fit but the DW ev14 1000cc are a lot slimmer.

Does anyone have pictures of the DW injectors that they used in the CTE manifold? I still haven't gotten my injectors from CTE btw. They were supposed to drop ship injectors from DW and haven't seen shit. That's why I ordered 1000cc injectors from vit and he said they'd work fine but they don't seat into the manifold like stock does. They go in but it's very loose. Plus, getting ahold of someone at CTE is pretty much impossible. If I had to do this over, I'd probably just save the money and get something else...

I would contact DW, not CTE. Also let vit know about this issue. Since he sold you these injectors, maybe he has something to say about it.

It was a pain in the ass lol

But... CTE is tried and true. It's worth it once you're done tuning. How many people have you seen blow up on CTE kit??

And KW??-- a bunch of people.

You made a good choice in SC kit, you just chose the harder path by installing on a CU2 with not much knowledge or support. But that's why you have great guys like me, and iselfdevi!

Welcome to the boosted CU2club.. we are a rare breed.

I was looking at the new maxima. A platinum edition sticker price was around 41k but I think I need to stay under 30. The new accords look pretty good imo also. I was just wondering if maybe you guys could give me some input.

Im obligated to recommend a honda to you.. I would suggest 2016 V6 manual Accord. I think in the years to come you'll find this car to hold it's value.

However, if it was me, I'd be gunning for a 40-50k mile 2011 STi... they go for about $25-$30k

This guy and his sti dreams.
Would you consider the new 2016 civic turbo sedan? It's quick and has great gas mileage. Not to mention the tuning possibilities in the future.

Update****

I got everything installed but the car won't start. Even got a new battery because Vit said mine was too weak. Any help would be amazing. Also, how tight does the belt need to be?

Does it crank? Does your dash light up with the ignition on?
If you're stage one with the 3.6 or 3.8 pulley, just put the adjuster pully as far in as you can get it and tighten up those two Allen screws really tight. Then put the belt on. The tensioner will do the rest.

It cranks just not building fuel pressure, I think.

Go over all your connections. Including your injector harnesses and coil packs. Sounds like something is unplugged. I would also check every fuse in the car.
Also, try reflashing the ecu with your flashpro. Sometimes a bad flash wouldn't let your car start.
Check your calibration and make sure the Right injector cc number is programmed.
Do your mufflers smell like gas?
How long do you let it crank?

Figured it out! The fuel pump had to come back out. I didn't use the white spacer and the oem oring. Now I have a vacuum leak and found out we left off a bolt on the supercharger manifold. I don't know how we missed that but the blower has to come back out so I will update tmrw.

You put in 1000cc injectors and a high flow fuel pump? Are you planning on going stage 2 in the future?

Yup, I definitely plan on going stage 2. I guess it really depends on if I want more power after the tune. Probably will as most everyone that's boosted wants more boost once they get bored of it.

I have a clutch and flywheel but I don't plan on installing it until the oem clutch burns out or I go stage 2. Whichever comes first, I guess.

I'm going to have to agree with sti lover. Go LSD or the torque steer will ruin your fun.

That's actually kinda fun haha, but anytime you are cornering, or hit uneven roads, it really slips quite a bit.

Found the vacuum leak! It was the bolt hole for the support bracket. Threaded any bolt that would fit and she idles like a champ!
