CT Engineering: My video clips

SO before everyone goes and gets all excited, I don't have them up yet. I will be setting up my 5D2 to get some interior video and sound clips in the next few days (once all this damn snow melts).

I also have a Replay HD camera being delivered next week and can fab up a mount to get some good exterior videos with sound. This is a place holder in the mean time. Sorry to tease, but I promise I'll have them up soon......

Why, now I have a reminder to get the video's done. I own Rob's old car. It was the development car for CT engineering. It's got a lot done to it.

well. you're not winning right now.

if there are no pics, or vids at least tell us what has been done to the car.

I guess I can search for Rob's old car.
is that what you want to be known for? Robs old car?

Hurry up and post what you got under the hood, Robs old car!!!

most likely, the ct-supercharger. what are you doing for engine management?
how much horsies are you putting down to the front wheels?

Rob's had the S/C, Exhaust, and short shifter. Not sure on suspension if any.

I just want the flashpro for our cars so I can start putting together boost.

oh, didnt realize it was the four cylinder.
engine management is good.

I was about to suggest the new ECU developed for the vsixers.
Any dyno numbers?
I want to see what a 4cyl can do!

Dude, with the night and day I've had, I could care less what you think. Rob's a friend of my wife and I's and he and my wife work at the same dealership. I started the thread at 12:30AM this morning and intended to get some startup, idle and rev video's later this morning or this afternoon. One less step to do later.

As far as mods, everything has been posted already and this thread was not started/intended to talk about them but here you go:

CTE: Supercharger, Icebox intake, catback exhaust, short shifter.
Modified Injectors
Hondata Flash
H&R Coilovers and shortly will have 15mm spacers rear and 5mm front.
CT-Engineering Carbon Fiber Grill
Ron Jon 18" Legends w/ Toyo Proxes T1-R 245-40-18

It's making about 265whp from the last dyno in CA. Maybe a bit more up here.

My photos are here:

It's all good, man, justnspace is busting your chops for the teaser post. Rob is a stand up guy & I'm sure he took good care of the car. It should serve you well for a good long time.

What were you driving or was this an addition to the stable?

I drove a 2004 MINI Cooper S before this, but my kids are growing fast and we needed something that fit all of us comfortably. We also have a 2005 MDX.
This is my old MINI:

It was the development car for CT Engineering so it spent quite a bit of time there and with Hondata being tuned. My understanding is they're putting the final touches on the flash software before releasing the kit to the public.

If it comes out...i will trade in my tsx for a manual...I bought the auto because I thought they would never release a flashpro to remove the rev hang.

My 6mt TSX never had rev hang. This isn't a Civic Si.

Thanks. Here's the video. Filmed with a Canon 5dmk2 and edited in Premier CS5. This is the first time I've ever edited video so bear with me. You can probably see the reflection of all the snow on the car, hence no driving clips. I'll get those when it warms up.

Also, no making fun of my Angry Birds hat. My daughter gave that to me so you'll be making fun of a 10 y/o and I'll have to come and steal your dog.

Heh heh. I do love the hat. Seriously warm too!

I think that rev hang comment was meant for the auto transmission car.

hey, I know you. and, if you're right about the rev hang, I'll be stopping by the dealer this weekend to pick up the red tsx they've got lying around.

I would prefer hondata release the flashpro instead, because the whole flashing process seems like a hassle.

Talking to Rob he said that CT has everything ready, they are just stuck on the hondata thing not releasing anything for the cu2.

hehe, thought you might recognize me from 8th. Go drive the car and see if I'm lying. I never had an issue with it on mines, and that was while owning both an FG2 and CU2 and being able to a/b them.

Doug told me early last year that they intended to support the entire TSX line 04-12. They likely pushed the 07-08 to market first knowing that it was the volume market for the car. They are probably just waiting to see demand for the CU2. Call and/or email them asking. Be polite though, they don't respond well to demands and bitterness.

I do know that they are currently in the process of putting together a hit list for FlashPro development for this year. I'm trying to get them to make an RDX flashpro .... lol.

I have 20 minutes of raw driving video I'm processing now. I'll have that up tonight. It includes two interior clips and one exterior mounted right above the exhaust.

Thanks!

The current Flashpro for the 1G TSX supports MT and AT. I don't see why they wouldn't do AT since a good majority of TSX's sold are AT.

Thanks for posting the video. I can do a drive by, but it'll be later this week. The weather is supposed to get pretty wet today.

For those watching the video, the transitions are at 13:35 and 17:10.

I did, and that's why I gave you the transition points. I'm not a video guy, so editing is not high on my priority.

Yeah that.... TSX only sold like 3% of all sales as a 6MT, so I'm sure they'd want to hit the largest demographic possible.
