No, it's for the CU2 and not CL9. You need to get the one that is designed for CL9.

When I installed an Injen CAI in my RSX, I was forced to cut part of the wheel well out.

Will this require the same?

Nevermind... looked up the install instructions and no cutting needed. Apparently, you don't even need to take off your front tire if you don't want to.

Is there a exhaust on ur car, or is that just the sound of the CAI... man if thats just the sound of the CAI.. by god i gotta get me one. So how much rain or how big of puddles does it usually take to scare one from getting a CAI w/o a bypass valve?
PS. Again that shit sounds insane!

Driving through puddles or driving rain isn't much of an issue, but standing water 1/2 way up your calf on a flooded road could be an issue for sure.

Where I live, this can be a common occurrence in the summer.

I just installed this on my car. I highly recommend it. You definitely feel the throttle response increase and like everybody said, it sounds great. Took me about 3.5 hours to install since I didn't know what I was doing.

dyno testing CAI's are kind of a grey area because how much power you gain depends on how fast you are travelling and how much air is getting sucked in. Ive heard of some places putting huge fans in front of the car to try and simulate real highway driving.

In sum, dont pay too much attention to the numbers.

Stuffing one's sock in the intake tract or heat soaking the pre-intake car before a cooldown run, etc. will yield big numbers for Super Street or HCI, or whatever, is what marketing is all about.

Does anyone think Lanier is a business equipment company or an automotive marketing company on the same plane as Stillen or AEM?

I am based in South Africa - how do I get this? :-) just did a 57mm Free Flow system on my 2L CU2. Sounds wicked, also an improvement in power (nothing significant though). Looking at options for a CAI, and will be doing a UNICHIP as well. Not going the branches route though...

Any info on this CAI yet? I just leased a 2010 TSX and comming out of a CL-S any extra HP will help, and its bolt on, so I can just take it off when my lease is done and sell it!

StonedCL, this came out as the Takeda Link SRI/CAI. If you visit the Takeda website you should be able to find it.

This is a easy bolt-on..Pretty much the same thing as on my CL?
what is the diameter of the tubing 2.5 inches or 3 inches? Has anyone added a bypass valve so they dont suck up water? Do i even need one, does the cone sit low , on my CL the cone went down to the bottom of the bumper so it was like 1.5 feet from the ground, how high off the ground does the cone sit on the TSX?

So where do we get it? I cant believe how fast you get the RPM's up over stock. Sorry if you mentioned it before but does this car only have the intake as far as mods?

Not to knock this (no pun intended), but this is not an accurate method for reaching an optimum A/F ratio. Unless there is some major progamatical differences between how the TSX ECU operates and most other OBDII based ECU's, then the extra influx of air will trigger a higher A/F ratio reading from the front O2 sensors (higher EGT temps resulting in higher voltage reading from the O2 sensor), causing the system to first adjust the sTrim's (short-term fuel trims) for the injectors, effectively increasing the injector pulse width thereby adding fuel... as the time elapse continues, the sTrims will then translate to the lTrims (long-term fuel trims) for the injectors. Eventually this process will repeat enough times that an ideal A/F ratio is reached. Obsviously it's ALWAYS dynamic when running in an open-loop fuel mapping system, adjusting for air density, but in the end an overall increase in inbound air will result in average higher lTrim values in the fuel maps, relying on the sTrims to perform the adjustments for day-to-day variances in air density and temperature. The only time a knock sensor will come into play is to detect pinging (which is eiter due to not enough fuel or too much ignition timing or a combination of both) or excessive knocking and should retard timing, not fuel. Reducing fuel when pinging will result increased pinging... Not to mention that they ECU isn't going to continue to add fuel above and beyond reaching an ideal A/F ratio.

Hope this clears up any potential confusion.

I am glad to see some options for intakes out on the market. I don't personally subscribe to ANY manufacturer's claims of gains as I've seen them ALL be wrong at some point or another. Dyno results can be manipulated too, but are a good starting point for doing comparisons. No two dyno's will ever produce the same results, as there are variables everywhere (tuning, air temp, airflow, tire pressure, engine temp are just a handful of the possible variables that will play into different dyno results)

it is a sharp-looking setup, and the best thing for the aftermarket is options. Definitely a CAI system to consider in the pool of options out there.
