Box Shots!

Probably my last significant mod for the TSX, then just cruise with it for the next...hmm 7+ years. I think these will be the largest diameter on a 2nd gen TSX? should look pretty good.

More to come

When doing some research on brakes, I gathered vehicle specs of other comparable models. Interesting how Acura has the widest track(even in the rear too, though I didn't record it).

Won't have time to mess with these for a couple weeks, but a few pics and info:

Calipers come in many colors and sizes, I chose silver for a more classy look like AMG or Infiniti Akebono calipers and in 6 pot configuration. I also ordered a black ACURA decal to put over top, will see how that looks with "CEIKA" engraved behind it.

Rotor hats also come in many colors, and rings in many patterns, I chose black and cross drilled. The rotor assembly is actually pretty light, I weighed them on my bathroom scale (highest degree of accuracy, lol), they were 21.0lbs (14" two piece, curved veins, cross drilled), compared to stock that weighed 18.2lbs (11.8", vented). Less than a 3lb increase each, not bad.

It also comes with all the hardware, adapter brackets, and brake lines.

caliper preloaded with pads

Just a little bigger than stock...should fill in the 20" wheels better

Whoa, those are really cool looking, love the choice of silver, I'm not a huge fan of colored calipers, unless you are driving a Ferrari or something similar. I'm like you, I love the AMG brakes, or even the "V" series on the Caddys.

There is always one to ask this question on every BBK thread I've come across during my research. All suppliers give about the same response, and I didn't come across any users reporting negative affects of their BBK (doesn't mean bias isn't affected, which of course it will be to an exent, apparently not enough for anyone to practically notice). Ceika's response to the question: "Our kits are designed to keep the bias correct and to work well with OEM master cylinder and ABS. You have more pistons but on both sides of the calipers compared to OEM floating type. So the pistons each have to travel half the distance. The piston diameter is staggered also." All in all, I'm not too worried about that, but will only know for sure once installed.

Well 2 rotors and 2 calipers of course, plus as I mentioned, new brake lines (stainless steel) and caliper relocating hardware.

You can price different kits on their website, shipping really screws it though, these came out to $1740 shipped. Was considering a 4 pot 13" kit for like $1200 shipped, but wanted to go big... .

Yea, I know I am taking a bit of a chance with them, but I do like to be a guinea pig sometimes

In hand though, they are very nice, and look very well made. I think they get manfuctured by the same people that do ksport, some of their stuff look very similar. Not that ksport is huge, but I've seen a little more people that have used them.

Definitely. In the mean time, I did replace my muffler tips a few weeks back with 4" round tips and installed some LEDs in reverse lights. Tips fill out the rear a bit better and makes it look a little tougher. Borla 20156 clamp on, had to trim the back so they didn't stick out too much

Reverse lights on in both pics, but a little too bright outside for the camera to pick them up well.

some install pics from my phone, everything went pretty smooth. I used some 3mm spacers for my wheels because I knew the caliper would be close to the spokes, which they were(verrrry close, they still spun, but didn't leave any room from some wheels fex).

Time for a review after a week of driving.

Installation: Really no different from any other brake job and pretty simple.
1. Remove stock rotor and caliper(I left caliper attached to hydraulic line for now so all the fluid doesn't leak out during the proceding steps).
2. Install Caliper Relocation bracket in stock caliper monting points(will have to trim dust shield slightly).
3. Install rotor facing the correct direction (will have to bend dust shield back in spots so it doesn't hit the rotor).
4. Install Caliper
5. Remove rubber brake line from car and attach new brake line to car and caliper.
6. Bleed

Driving Impressions:
I am not really an aggressive braking driving, but I still notice a big improvment in my daily commute. Pedal feel is much firmer, this is most likely just because of the stainless steel brake lines, feels good. Braking overall just requires less pedal pushing effort, is the easiest way to explain it. I haven't felt like I've had to jam on the brakes for anything, just push the pedal and you stop very firmly with no drama. I haven't heard any weird brake noises, but I usually drive with my windows up, so I assume they're quiet

Overall I'm very happy with the initial quality and performance of this Ceika brake kit

Nice! Info on the company from a different forum:

The company is Chinese and the parts are made in Taiwan-

Registered office address:
CEIKA Limited
805-7, 24 Kau Yuk Road,
Yuen Long, N.T,
Hong Kong
Hello everyone,

I am Cedric Milharo, director and founder of CEIKA Limited.

I couldn't help but noticing this topic with the big spike in visits on our website coming from the m5board.

Our brand is new, we've launched our website 3 months ago. Before that, we have been selling coilovers for the last 3 years on our ebay store in Australia. Maybe you've seen our blue and gold coilovers before on Ebay.

We've recently launched our big brake kits. We chose the best manufacturers for each components in order to sell high quality and affordable brake kits. Our parts makers have ISO 9000:2008 certificates, and only quality materials and tight tolerances for the machining are used. The calipers are forged in 6061 T6 alloy, we use steel and seals from Japan and the Teflon for our brake lines is made in England. We are undergoing TUV certification for our rotors too.

We specialise in designing and manufacturing custom coilovers and brake kits built to order, in order for you to get the best suited setup for your use. You can choose the size of the calipers and rotors, materials of the pistons, the color of the calipers and hats for free, upgrade to true full floating rotors for high performance applications and more… (CEIKA | 8 pot Big Brake Kit)

We have 3 compounds of brake pads, specialy designed for our rotors, and we also have all the spare parts, rebuild kits, rotor rings, etc… in stock and we provide them at direct factory price for our customers. You can also use parts and brake pads from AP racing, Alcon, PAGID, Brembo, Porsche, Wilwood, Hawk, Ferodo and more if you prefer.

All our parts are manufactured in Taiwan, not China, our company is registered in Hong Kong. Taiwan produces over 90% of the world calipers and brakes components. They have all the expertise and knowledge with all the foreign companies investing there for their productions. Most of the big brands out there buy their brake kit components and calipers from a few makers in Taiwan. To show higher standards, some brands also buy the calipers with raw casting, and do the machining in their country like in the US or England.

We also have a 2 year warranty on our calipers body, 3 months on the rotors and 1 year on the rest of the components.

I will be happy to give a discount if somebody wants to give our brakes a go, and you can judge the quality and share with everyone. We have been selling to Australia and Japan mainly and customers are impressed with the quality for the price and our coilovers have had great success and reliability in all kinds of applications from street to gravel rally.

Also, I am a car enthusiast and i enjoy providing parts for old cars or rare cars custom built (at no extra cost). I would love to develop brake kits (or coilovers) for old or rare BMW. We've developed coilovers for BMW E21, E28, and we are developing brakes and coilovers for the BMW 2002 (1960~1975).

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Cedric Milharo

I guess if you want to go for show, drilled rotors are ok, but anyone who really drives spirited/track will tell you blanks are the way to go.

Cracked rotors are no fun

nice ride though

Hi everyone, thank you for the review Anthony. It's looking great.

I wanted to add something important. We have a patented design for the parking brake system that makes us one of the only BBK maker (if not the only) to have a 100% compatible rear BBK for all the Acuras, Hondas, VW etc. that uses a cable operated rear calipers for the parking brake system.

The parking cable will attach at the rear of our calipers just like stock without any modifications. So you can upgrade to a rear BBK of any sizes without loosing the parking brake nor running an extra caliper for parking brake which is costly, heavier and just too complicated.

Here is a picture of the system. (the cable fitment is adapted depending on the car model)

Thank you again for supporting us.

We have the CEIKA logo CNC machined. The best we can do is with no painting inside the logo like the ones on this page.

What about stock replacement calipers.

I would be interested in a set of oe replacement calipers.

All 4 PNP that use stock rotors.

Our calipers uses a radial mount style instead of lug type. (bolt through the top of the caliper instead from the back.) So you need enough room to fit the brackets to bolt in our calipers to the stock lug mount location. That's not possible if using stock rotor size.

Even with our full kit we cannot provide a set that is smaller than stock or the same size. It has to be a little bigger rotor diameter in order to fit the bigger calipers.

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to post here. I just wanted to add the post above about the parking brake as it's important for everyone i think. If moderators are ok i'm happy to answer questions here. Otherwise it's maybe best if you contact us directly if you have any questions.

long term update (does anyone ever do those?..)

6 Years and 93k miles later...still going strong
Original 'street' pads still on, should easily make it to 100k, but will probably order a new set soon.
Anodized finish has held up well (just dirty in the pictures, I probably only cleaned them once in their lifetime, within in the first year).
No vibration, no cracks, no leaks, quiet, still love them.
