Aftermath resonator problem!!

Pulled out of my garage this morning...and well my bumper came off...Shattered both of my fog lights since the bumper pulled them out. So i suggest for anyone to put all Screws and Safety pins back in. It also snapped the plastic that fits under the hood on the top. SO PLEASE ANYONE THAT DOES THE RESONATOR TAKE OUT...BUT BACK ALL PARTS!!!

Modesto!

I am sorry to say this, but lmfao, picturing the front bumper dragging along is pretty funny

At least be thankful it happened in your garage and not the highway at 80 mph, that woulda been trouble for you AND the guys behind you

I am sorry for your loss and it sounds like its gonna cost alot to fix everything... exactly how many pins did you leave out?

The only thing I need to replace are my fog lights...so i might just buy a HID conversion kit for that, so not too expensive. I left out all the ones underneath the car, and some on the sides. So i guess today I got to go and investigate how to make sure this thing doesn't fall off.

I have taken plenty of bumper covers off in my car modding times. Always safe to at least get the screws in and a few of the clips. Sorry to hear about the damage man. Did just your bulbs bust or did the whole housing? Very lucky this happened in your garage of all places.

If the foglights shattered, you're looking at a new housing too.
Good luck with everything

Did you at least put the screws on the sides back?
I put the side screw and like 6 of the clips. No problem so far.

they are hard to come off.
sometimes, you break them.

putting them back in shouldnt be a problem if they're not broken. if broken its hard as hell to put them back in.

if i break my clips, I make sure I have enough to at least hold the bumper on.
if not, you will experience what the OP experienced

Yeah, I will be doing the same thing sometime in the near future, posts like this make me paranoid.

I do plan on getting the 'bitchclip remover' from heeltoe though, anyone here try these? http://www.heeltoeauto.com/product.php?productid=65396

lol i ALWAYS put ALL my clips back on, it takes a couple more minutes, but gives me a peace of mind.

sometimes, a clip wouldnt fit in one hole, you just have to try another clip or anther hole, and eventually they will all fit. i never have any extra clips left

wow sucks to hear that man

i havent had this problem for 1.5 years since i started tampering with my front bumper. like ed said, i dont ride with any clips on which is why its easy for me to take it off in 1-2 minutes. sometimes ill just put 2 clips on top of the grill but thats about it.

Im with you defcon, while I don't mess with my bumper, I do take it off often and I am too lazy to take off all the clips so I usually have just the two screws that screwed on in the wheel well and 2 clips on each side and call it a day.
