AEM CAI + Gosha Reflash

Alright, the car is back now with AEM's CAI and Gosha's reflash installed. VTEC kick in at 4600 like Chivik said it would and the car does feel more powerful. I might do another dyno somewhere down the road but for not, my butt dyno tells me that it's all good.

I need to drive it more to tell you.

Give me a couple of weeks and maybe meet up with Ed to get some more feedback.

Thats awesome to hear that everything is running smoothly. There was definitely potential for error and disappointment but glad to hear its all good. Updates!

The throttle response is definitely better and the most notable improvement is from 40-60mph. The car is also doing better going from 60-80mph.

I have to be fair though, I've been driving a caliber for days so the TSX is a huge improvement. I really need to get a second opinion on this.

The story of Benjamin Franklin LOL

The dealer I went to just told me there is a cost and it's a my own risk. I okay'ed both account and now I've been driving around with it for a week now.

Where I notice the biggest improvement is getting up to highway speed. With VTEC engaging at 4600rpm it's easier to reach 80 then it was before in drive. However driving locally I can't really feel that much difference.

Same question as TSXy, what has become of your MPGs? And does this mod increase that urge to race ricers whilst screaming that your VTEC has kicked in, yo?

I do that with the car in stock form, I can only imagine what the case would be had I had the car vtec earlier + with more power.

I was hoping for a mind blowing character swapping re-flash

I guess this was more realistic given the car's limitations. Looking forward to the first outside evaluation we get from the SoCal people!

With combined city n highway I got 24mpg on my first tank.

Keep in mind that I am not sure what exactly AEM put in my tank so I would take the power and mpg with a grain of salt. I now have the usual 91 Oct from 76 that I always put into my car so this tank is going to give some more accurate comparison.

I post again once I get some driving done with this tank of gas.

You will like the RBC on the TSX works good. We still need to ditch the first cat and do a reflash with our RRC manifold...

so my manifold got here and its a rbb but taking my maniold apart i noticed the plenum on out stock one. The rbb fits perfectly but the ac bracket needs to be removed i think ill see a lil torque increase once my cel goes off might put my regular one back in and buy some new gaskets till then peace
