2012 underbody spoiler help
2012 underbody spoiler help
So I was recently rear ended. Their insurance gave me 500 bucks. I can either go get my current spoiler fixed or get a new one. I want to buy the rear underbody spoiler which replaces the whole bumper. I can get it online new for 480+125 shipping. You guys think I should do that? Suggestions?
Alternatively: I kind of want to '12 SE bumper on it but I can't find it.
If anyone knows any place that is cheaper or is selling a 2012 bellanova white pearl bumper let me know!!!
Thanks!

Exact same thing happened to me. I got the aero rear end over the SE edition. Aero comes painted from the factory and SE comes unpainted so you'll have to deal with that. Unless you can find a good deal on one on ebay.

if only it was bwp. Is the shade of white that big of a difference?

It was the original bumper on my 2011.
It had a scratch about an inch on it and since I'm anal
I had it repainted. pwp is a bitch to match, most people wouldn't notice, but i could, so I found another pwp one
It's sitting in my shed waiting for a new home

I love my aero rear. You use the same reflectors and most of the same screws on the new one. It comes with two brackets for the bottom of it since it flares out like a 1/2" at the bottom more than the original.
PWP has a lot more yellow to it than Bellanova. If you have a a good paint guy with a good price, it might be a little cheaper to get an SE bumper from the factory or from someone else and paint it.
I chose aero because it looks a lot more aggressive (to me) and comes painted so I could pop it on the same day I got it.

I do like it because it looks more aggressive to me as well. Is the area with the reflectors painted black and the rest of the bumper is the color you choose? Cause the original bumper is all white (well mine) I wanted the blacked out area near the reflectors
It will come with everything extra you need (just the two small brackets). Everything else you reuse from your existing bumper like the screws and reflectors. The bottom part by the exhaust on the aero bumper is a flat black on any color bumper.
The bottom part I've circled flares out like half an inch, so they include a little metal bracket. It's not a big deal and is pretty idiot proof. Other than that it goes on exactly the same as the old one.

the brackets sticks out a little pass the bumper on the inside so you can attach the rear fender linears onto it. otherwise since the bottom flare out, the fender linear won't be able to screw into anything else
