I searched but didn't find an answer to this question. I just purchased a 2009 tsx (vortex blue 6-speed, thank you very much). It's a base model --- no nav. I am a verizon customer and currently have a first generation droid. I wanted to upgrade to an iphone when it's time to renew, but I don't see any mention of the verizon iphone on acura's handsfree link page. I know some phones have limited capability, some have none (it says my droid doesn't,) and some have complete compatibility. Is the verizon iphone just too new to be included in this guide, or is the cdma version of this phone, and its particular bluetooth technology, just not compatible. I guess I am asking if anyone has real world experience with which phones work the best with the non nav cars.

You should be just fine upgrading to the Verizon iPhone, although it's cdma vs. gsm, the bluetooth hardware should be the same. I too have the Verizon iPhone, though I have a 2011 TSX with Tech, it works flawlessly. The only issue I have had is using data for Acuralink, which I could care less about, and you don't have to worry about anyways.

 

make sure you turn up the bluetooth volume on your iPhone all the way up, otherwise when you switch from music audio to HFL you'll likely blow your speakers out...

 

I have a 2010 non-tech and the Verizon iPhone, it works fine.

 

Anyone have a 2010 TSX with Nav/Tech and a Verizon iPhone4? Does the phone work via HFL because right now on the Acura site this phone is listed as a "pending phone"?
