Traffic stops working after 15-30 minutes
I have a 2009 TSX Tech package. I started having an issue around Christmas time and it has persisted. I commute roughly 1 hour each way in Chicago, and the traffic on the navigation will work when I start my trip, but it will eventually stop working. First the traffic will stop showing, then the construction/accidents will go away, and finally the little traffic icon goes away on the screen. If I look in the setup it still says that I am receiving traffic. I always have the map zoomed to the level where traffic shows (5 miles or less I believe).
Anyone seen anything like this? I tends to work for 15-30 minutes. If I turn the car off and back on it works again.
I should mention the XM radio never quits..

Mine started doing the exact thing a couple weeks ago. I've started paying close attention to it lately to see if there is a pattern and there is a pattern... Exactly 15 minutes after traffic is first displayed on the nav (about 30 seconds after starting the car), I lose the green/yellow/red lines on highways, although the "TRF" under "GPS" (upper-left of the nav) is still there and green. Exactly 5 minutes later, the "TRF" disappears.
I have maintenance scheduled in a couple weeks and I was planning to ask the dealer about it. I've already had one XM module replaced due to a similar issue.

Very interesting, thanks for the reply! I am expecting my maintenance minder to start telling me to get a service any day now, so I will be sure to have them look at this issue as well.
Please report back on your findings, I will do the same.

Same exact problem, after about 15 minutes it goes off. I just had the xm controller replaced because it stopped working completely. The cut off started right after they fixed it. I guess it’s back to the dealer again…

It has actually come back a couple of times after another 20-30 minutes, but it is not consistent in returning, unless I restart the car.

Same boat guys. I actually thought it was the area because it happens around O'hare (airport). Guess it's not just me which is refreshing to know that it's not an isolated indecent. Let me know what the dealer says.

I have same problem. There are the same issues happening with TL's in this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...1#post12616941
Someone said that XM Radio has acknowledged the problem on their end.

this happened to me for the 1st time today that i know of.
reason i may not know it happened before is that i only have 1 road traffic comes up on. Rt. 287. I have no idea how in the NY metro area the only road that comes up is 287. This is the main reason i will not be paying for this service once the trial runs out.

Glad I found this post as I have been noticing the same since around Thanksgiving! It was very erratic I thought at first but now that you guys mentioned the 15mn time frame until traffic disappears, I am confident to say mine does the same. I am in Portland and I actually drove it to Seattle today (180 miles) but I don't think I noticed it going off. I wonder if it is the XM that is causing this or the car...? Any updates!?

You people need to read prior posts like the one i quoted here before asking the same questions over and over again.
