Can't sync iPod Touch to bluetooth audio

Anyone know some reasons why the two devices won't sync? The iPod is saying it's "discoverable" but the two won't link. I'm not sure which device isn't recognizing ghe other. The iPod works fine through the USB port. Is the USB port just a better way to go anyway since it charges the iPod and I'm assuming the sound quality is better?

Thanks...

You cannot sync an ipod over bluetooth. Bluetooth can be used to to "connect" the devices and allow transfer of sound but control of the music would be from the ipod. In your case consider bluetooth as a wireless audio cable.

For ipod syncing you must use the USB connection.

Hope this helps

I was able to get my iTouch to link so-to-speak but it still never was able to play music that way. And I don't believe the touch is supported even though it is bluetooth. Just plug it in. Sounds better.

In any case, playing music through the BT connection is far inferior to connecting directly to the USB port in the center console

Hey i have an i touch 4th gen. I just started using Bluetooth audio with it today. It does work and you can control what plays through the iPod. Uhm the thing is you cant have your phone connected. You have to kinda pick what you want. Just set the iPod up as a normal phone and turn your phone Bluetooth off or what ever other Bluetooth is paired with car. Then play your music on iPod. The iPod will also have like a weird drop down menu icon next to the play button that will let you select whether music comes out of iPod speakers or car speakers.
