Is there a speaker in the rear door?

The door looks like there is a speaker in there. If not, is there wiring to install a speaker there?

If you have the Tech Package, then there is. Otherwise, no.

When you pull off the door panels, there are black covers filled with Cotton behind the speaker grill. They can be unscrewed and thrown away. I bought rear door speakers from a TL on ebay. I ran my own wiring from the speaker and fed it through the rubber guid in the door which pops out near the seat belt. Then hide the wiring under the plastic door sill and up behind the rear seat. I tapped into the rear deck speakers so the fader would be correct.

Its a huge difference in sound quality, and loudness. Took some of the bass out of the system but over all the kids and highs improved.

I did not tie into the Sub... Only the 2 6.5" in the deck, I have had it Maxed out and no issues. I know in the Tech edition there is an issue of speaker blowing but I believe they have a different amp. I am looking at adding the Center dash speaker up from too, but not sure how to wire it as of yet.

I will do this, I have 3 sets of 6.5, so might as well use them.
