is there really no way to scroll down quickly (i.e. page down) with iPod interface?

at least with the non-tech models, it's ridiculous having to spin the wheel for 30 seconds to get down to an artist that starts with the letter P. anyone else find this to be a letdown?

I too hate it. I wish at the very least you could turn th knob counterclockwise and go from A to Z. Very poorly designed.

I don't know if it works on the non-etc, but in the tech you can push the wheel scroll-er button (technical term) down, like when you flip menus and it will do an accelerated scroll.

The steering wheel control does not cycle through songs.

it's also really irritating because i have a lot of 2 hour mixes, and i wish they could have made the interface more ipod-like. Fast forwarding to the later part of a 2 hour mix sucks. i'm tempted to resort to the actual aux port and use the usb for charging the battery

The alternative is using the blutooth audio and just using your ipod as the controller. But then you sacrifice a little quality.

i might start using the aux in....but then i lose the display, and possibly sacrifice some sound quality...but at least i won't have to spin the damn wheel for 30 seconds to get down to Phoenix.

Go back and read the 2nd post.

Going backwards doesn't do anything.

I have the non-tech V6 and sadly, the sound system interface is very poorly designed! There is no way to switch directly to Random play mode (e.g., using the "A-Select" button, like on my old Accord), other than having to go through a menu.

I also noticed that pushing and holding the "TITLE" button in XM mode will toggle between category view and channel view.

Quite annoying, but I guess the sound quality compensates... I also love to be able to plug in a USB drive with music!
