XM vs. Sirius
What is the difference between these providers? I thought one bought the other, but there's still two companies?
Do I need to buy a subscription to XM for an Acura?

I believe Sirius and XM merged. My 2009 tech came with 3 months free XM, then you have to pay about 150/year. Personally I think it's well worth it. Good musical variety, good reception (usually).

WTH happened to my garage
Yeah, there's no more us & them, they're one and the same.
I didn't know Paul Newman died for like...a month b/c I was listening to XM.

Yes they merged.
If you have XM and want some of the Sirius channels (like Howard Stern) you have to pay a few more dollars per month.
And vice versa if you have Sirius.

XM and Sirius
I have 2006 TSX with XM; kept up the service; I like it a lot. When XM and Sirius merged, some of my channels changed, got some new ones (from Sirius which replaced some old XM ones).
I would guess if you owned a BMW with Sirius maybe something like this occurred.
Either way well worth the few $$
