Hi guys,
Anyone here install remote start on their 2nd TSX? Its getting to be that time of the year and I just got a $50 off on remote start coupon from my dealer. When I asked for a quote I was given $590 figure.
Is this something that can be done anywhere or is recommended to be done only at the dealer?

I believe the dealer ultimately needs to program it, but there are instructions available for installing the remote start.

You might be able to save some money by ordering the parts from one of the various OEM parts suppliers and have the dealer do the install. I'm lazy. That is a lot of taking things apart and crawling around. Figure out how much it costs for them to do it, then figure up how many hours it would probably take yourself, consider your hourly wage, then see if the amount of hours you have to work is under or over the cost to have the dealer do it. Generally speaking, if it costs many hours of labor/income to have them install it, I'll do it myself. If not, I'll pay someone else.
