i have a leased 2010 tsx I4 base and today i decided to take a listen to the individuals speakers. check if anything was blown because im planning a trip to my dealership in a lil over 2 weeks. my steering wheel is a little off center to the right, and im coming up my year of owning it(in a lil over a week), and i wanted to get it fixed before i had 12k miles. i listened to my front tweeters and the speaker in each door, sounded fine, then i checked the back doors, and they had absolutely no sound. it wasn't muffled, there was just no sound or vibrations coming from the speaker. the sub in the back works. i even faded the sound to the rear and made it louder, but nada.

would the dealership be covering this free of charge? do i need to bring it before i have it for exactly a year? must i mention some sort of TSB? any tips would be appreciated =)

 

The base TSX has no speakers in the rear doors. Those are only used in the Tech model that has extra speakers.

 

lol thanks. now i feel dumb, i saw the setup, i assumed it was more than just for looks haha. can i put speakers into them since the setup is there or would that be difficult?

 

haha don't feel dumb. You're here to learn. You can put speakers in there. I don't know if the wiring is there or not. I would assume it is, but don't know exactly. Maybe someone else can chime in?

 

open the door panel and find out if theres wiring!
