Phone number MIDI # of characters?

Has anyone else noticed how odd it is that your HFL available number of characters displays like this:

407-555-121
2

Are the Euro characters one number shorter than ours?

Maybe I shouldn't enter area codes on my phonebook so that it doesn't look goofy?

Maybe I'm getting wrapped up in things that really don't matter?

It appears that the line the MIDI uses runs out of room. As for Euro numbers go most or at least the ones that I know have one more number than U.S. numbers (with area code.)

Something to keep in mind, If you remove the area codes from your phonebook, and you are in another area code, you will have to then enter that area code you are trying to dial.

To tell you the truth I have never noticed this. I had to go out to the car just now to look.

I also noticed that and it is somewhat annoying. You'd think that they would have designed the MID to be able to display the complete phone (in xxx-xxx-xxxx format) number on one line.
