Has anyone tried installing OEM remote starter on the 6-speed TSX? From looking at the install pdf, I think the only thing that needs to be done to make it work is to short out the clutch switch and ground out the neutral safety switch input on the remote start unit.

I can do it, but I need a pinout for the connectors. Does anyone happen to have a service manual for 09-12 TSX?

 

i remember a story bout a guy that left his 6 speed in first gear with ebrake up when he shut off the car. he had a remote start, triggered it from inside, the car powered through the brake till it hit a wall across the lot, bounced off, and kept bouncing until it died in a puff of smoke

 

a had remote starters on all my dd cars. They were all manuals. Never had a problem.

 

I had a Viper remote start on my manual civic. If I left it in any gear other than Neutral, it wouldn't start.

 

I have the helms manual for 2011-12. Best $150 I ever spent for modding this car!

Had viper security/ remote start in my last 3 cars. Been thinking for some time about installing in my tsx, but never look into how to install myself. Shops want way too much money.

 

Leaving your car in neutral with just the parking brake seems unwise. I suppose if you chocked your wheels it could be safe, but how big a feature is the remote start?
