New to tech package

Have spent about 2 1/2 weeks with my 2012 TSX Wagon with tech package. Just want to say that I'm not finding it intuitive at all. I had a TL without tech. The phone was a snap to use. Here, you have to put in voice tags and it seems as if you can only enter 20 which is a pain. (Am I wrong about that?) To accomplish something by voice it seems you have to go answer a series of commands to accomplish your goal. Just needed to vent. Hopefully I'll have it down before the snow melts.

? You can still use it like the TL if you wish.

I never bothered with voice tags in my car. I either use the favorites list (the list that shows when you hit the talk button) or phonebook.

I noticed that Kia/Hyundais read your phonebook and allow you to voice dial everything.

This was a old post of mine in response to people complaining about the iPhone Transfer 'issue'. Overall, after almost two years of the lease, theres lots to like (stylish interior & exterior and great MPG) and not to like - simply suck ass Bluetooth / Phone connectivity, some squeaks and occasional rough idle in D

2011 TSX Sport Wagon w/ Tech - BT Awful

... yeah it's pretty amazing just how unintuitive and bad the HandsFreeLink is with my new Acura. I turn off the car and walk away and my wife is still on inside the car (and not on purpose), it will not transfer from my iPhone 4 (and now my iPhone 5) to the car even when prompted time & time again via the handset etc etc ... kind of strange, let alone dangerous and against the law, that Acura so missed the mark with this one aspect of an otherwise very cool ride. I have to assume it's a hardware issue and no software update is going save the day ??

Footnote: I previously had a 2005, and then a 2008, Audi A6 which had the simplest most intuitive Bluetooth ever ... both cars had other nuances that were annoying but not the Bluetooth that's for sure.

Tech package sucks

I agree, the user interface and the voice commands suck. I should have read reviews before I bought one. With sticker price of the package around $4,000, you'd expect everything to be almost perfect. My 2008 Infiniti was much easier to use and voice recognition worked much better. The quick reference manual gives confusing instructions and if you follow them you won't get anywhere. I took the car to a dealer thinking voice commands don't work. It took their most knowledgeable technician almost an hour to figure out how to work with voice command to make a voice tag call. I suspect he made a call to Acura Tech support to get help. When he tried to use a voice command "Find a nearest Acura dealer", first few times the commands were recognized as some random commands - Bluetooth audio started playing, then some other stuff popped up, etc. Only on the 4th or 5th time the command finally was recognized correctly.
I consider spending on the tech package an absolute waste and don't recommend it to anyone.
