I'm using an Invisicord to wire my V1 radar detector to my auto-dim mirror. The wire colors on the back of the mirror (left to right) are brown, black and white (the brown wire is sort of an orange brown and appears to alternate silver but I can't see much of it).

Does anyone know for sure which is hot and which is ground? I'm guessing the brown is hot and the black is ground.

By looking at the diagram...then the ignition power wire is the brown one?

 

Wanted to bring this thread back from the depths. Did you end up wiring it in successfully? There are a couple of hardwire kits out there that look to tap into the rear view mirror harness.
