Metallica Black Album DVD-Audio Disk

Does anyone have this or know anybody that has this DVD-Audio disk that can confirm that it works on the 2nd Gen TSX with the DVD-Audio ELS Sound-system:

http://www.amazon.com/Metallica-DVD-.../dp/B00005ATQM

If it does work I'm thinking about buying this as my first ever DVD-Audio disk for the TSX.

Thanks,
win2k8

It works, but I wouldn't pay $40 for it.

How would you say the sound quality is on the TSX? Do you think it sounds better than a C.D ?

Thanks,

ABSOLUTELY. True DVD-A's will display a noticeable upgrade in SQ compared to normal CD's.

I found that the official Metallica site is only selling it for $18.99:

http://store.metallica.com/store/sto...oductId=600284

Do you think that's a reasonable price? I mean it sure does beat $40.

Thanks,

If you like this album and you own an ELS Acura, there is no excuse for not spending the bucks (direct from their website) for this disc.

It's killer!

Hey guys,

just a follow up on my experience with the Metallica Black Album DVD-Audio:

The sound quality is excellent, I can definitley notice the difference, for example when I put on a regular CD or my USB thumb drive it just does not compare to the DVD-Audio, the DVD-Audio has really clear and crisp sound and it really does feel like they are playing right in front of you. My favorite tracks are, "Enter Sandman" and "The Unforgiven".

Its really a must have with the ELS sound-system, this DVD-A will really show you the real power of the ELS system in terms of delivering stunning surround sound audio.

got my dvd in the mail. it sounds pretty sweet id say and does offer an audible difference over the regular mp3 sound. i would probably not purchase another one though even though i paid 15 bucks. it was nice to have the experience regardless and i dont regret the purchase. I do wish there was a way to create your own DVD-As though
