I got a new 5s and I paired it to the car. What I'm noticing is that it stays paired but I need to hit connect each time I get in the car for it to be usable (in the Bluetooth menu on the phone, its part of the list just not connecting on its own).

I have not had this issue with what's got to be 20 different phone over the 5 years I have owned the car, anyone else have this issue?

I wonder if its OS7.

I have OS7 on my 4S with no issues. Is there an option on your phone to automatically connect BT like there is for wifi?

No, It shows up in the list and if I tap it it will come alive but no box for automatic.

had the same issue today. I waited a while for it to connect and it worked. will update as i learn more i paired it for the first time today

I have a somewhat similar issue. My iPhone 5S works fine with my 2006 TSX, but I just bought a 2013TSX Wagon for my wife, and the same phone as well as my wife's 5, will not automatically be recgnized when starting the car. Evertime we get in the car, I have to go to the phone menu on the car and ask it to search for the car. Tonight I am going to delete all the phone entries in the car and profiles on the phones and try again!

I have the 4s and recently made the move to iOS7 and it has been doing several strange things. The biggest issue is exactly what you're describing...I think its more of iOS7 than it is anything with our cars but thats just my 2cents.

I seem to have mine working, I just added it again after deleting the first link info (car side and phone side). It just seems to take a long time to find it like 2 or 3 full minutes but has found it the last 3 times in the car.

my wife got a 5s and had the same issue. deleting and relinking appears to have resolved the issue. I'll post an update in a week to let everyone know how it's doing.

It has been working for me after I deleted all the links and started over. Just keep in mind that it might take up to 3 to 4 minutes to find the phone on its own. So if you had a phone that connected right away in the past, you might just think it's does not work and give up on it. It might just need more time to connect then you would think it would need.

Cyber, thanks for the heads up; I did play the waiting game when troubleshooting the issue the first time around. Everything acts 'normal' now after relinking.
