iPhone 3.0 & Bluetooth Audio

Hello:

I just downloaded and installed 3.0 for my iPhone which advertises that it has bluetooth audio capabilities. However, I just can't seem to get it to work with my car. When I press the Aux button twice for Bluetooth Audio, it simply says "no connect."

Has anyone had any luck with this? Please enlighten me. Thank you!

Chris

U need to pair you iphone with the TSX then it should work. Ive had the 3.0 for two weeks and the sound quality is pretty good.

Pair as in "HFL-Pair?". If so, mine is already paired.

If you have the First Gen. iphone it will not work. Check out this link for more info...http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...-iphone-os-30/

I tried the bluetooh audio on my iPhone 3G last night, it sounded good but the audio kept cutting out. Not sure what is going on there...

I have the 2G one. Is that considered 1G technology? I believe that the only difference between the generations was the price tag.

If by 2G you mean the one iwth the aluminum casing, then A2DP doesn't work on yours.

If it has the Black(or white) casing, then it's an iPhone 3G and it should work.

Tried the bt audio. Once I pressed the aux button on my system, it automatically connects and activates the iPod application on my iPhone 3g. Although, it was breaking from time to time but it works well on my pandora application. This new feature of iPhone is just convenient and amazing

Anyone have problems with the 3GS switching to BT audio after a few minutes of being plugged into the dock connector? Kind of annoying playing a song and then it goes silent.

I noticed this today, super annoying. I'd rather have the BT audio turned off. Can you turn it off while still having the hands free link working?

Don't think that'll work because I just paired my 3G S last night and it's doing this.

I tried the BT audio and I didn't have any of the problems you guys are talking about. No choppiness, no auto switching to BT audio when plugged in.

However, i can't control anything from the car's buttons. Can't even skip to the next song. I think i'll just keep using the ipod classic i have as the permanent ipod in the car.

I realize this isn't the right forum, but it's crucial that I ask this. Does the 3GS iPhone still play well with the HFL on first-gen TSXs? Mine's an '07.

I'm planning to buy a 3gs but I need to be sure it'll work with the car.

I don't get car manufacturers. My 09 Euro Accord has no BT Audio or DVD Audio, which the TSX has, yet I have an 8 way power pass seat, TSX has 4 way, I have rain sensing wipers, not on TSX and powerfold mirrors, not on TSX, wierd specs for different countries.

When are you getting the Diesel TSX?? Are you getting it??

not heard anything about diesels.. and were a different community. you need power fold mirrors for your streets probably. were stupid and rather be able to listen to 9000 songs at the touch of a button then preserve our car by pushign i the mirrors when parked in heavy traffic on the side of the road. Rain sensing wind shield wipers used to be a big thing but I guess people aren't big fans. I know I personally wouldn't I don't urn on my windshield wipers till its down pouring, the glory of Rainx.. though to have the power lumbar that'd have been hot the seat goes in every single direction but i gotta manualy adjust my lumbar? like wtf gd.. We also like trunks cause we have shit to hide, so thats why we don't get the awesome hatchback :-P

But they did punch in a lot of standards for the price, so they probably ran out of budget to keep it the best bang for your buck

Bluetooh Audio

The phone as some have stated herein must be paired with the system.

Bluetooth is a power consumer. If your phone is low on power the audio will be choppy. When plugged in the audio quality is supurb. I have paired the Samsung Instinct and the iPhone 3G and had no problems with audio quality. In fact when switching between the CD and Bluetooth no one could tell the difference. Again BT is power hungry so make sure your phone is more than half charged or on the car charger.

This issue is completely an issue with the iPhone and not the car. I wish Apple would add the option to turn off the BT audio feature while still being able to use the hands free link for the phone. Once the phone recognizes a BT source, after it's already been plugged in, the BT source takes presedence.

Noob question, but do you still get the same interface when playing via bluetooth as when it's plugged in to the USB? When it's plugged in and playing through USB I get the display through my navi screen, but when it's playing through bluetooth (whether plugged in or not) I can't get it to show up on the navi display...

As for bnojyng, your question about Pandora - dunno, but will try it out soon! :-D

Nope, you have to control it from the phone. Another reason I don't really care to use the BT audio.

I couldn't get it to work when I tried today - every time I selected the "aux" audio, it started playing from my music library. Pandora wouldn't load at all

It could be I'm just not doing it right...

You're absolutely right. The iPhone is crap now.
I used to plug in the iPhone, hit Aux and the music played randomly right were it left off.
Now...I plug in the phone and hit Aux and it looks like it's playing but I don't hear anything. So I unplug it, plug it in again and then I hear the audio.

Now, I wouldn't mind the bluetooth audio but the steering controls don't work and the audio is choppy.
For the guy that says the battery level is the reason for the choppy audio, I don't believe that is true b\c the battery doesn't lose strength, just capacity. Also, the phone is charging from the Aux port.

Hopefully a fix will be on Cydia b\c Apple will take too long.

2-1/2 years with the 1st gen iPhone and I never once dropped it or had any sort of accident.

2 weeks with the new 3G S, and I accidentally leave it in my shorts pocket and put it through the washing maching.

Go me!

Should work as long as you have the 3.0 software update.
