Does the TSX Tech have the speed dial option on its bluetooth that the TL does. Also can you use it by voice and not by using the buttons on the dash. I am really interested in the new TSX and hope it has these features.

 

So, as I've discovered after being told, you can save entries to a phonebook and dial them by name using just the voice command and HFL buttons.

Can you explain what the speed dial function of the TL is -- I'm not familiar with it.

 

You can add 4 numbers that you can dial without going through the phonebook.

Dang... i like that interface much more than the one in the TSX; I always want to navigate and dial etc using the screen instead of the multi-info display....

 

You cant use the Nav to make calls in the TSX.

 

Yes you can. You can even place calls via voice-command.

 

You can import your contacts via bluetooth to the Nav, then search the phonebook, etc. This is separate from the HFL phonebook mechanism, I think.

Haven't done it yet, but you can program the HFL phonebook with voice for your contacts. That way you can use voice to dial whoever you've programmed.

 

Lexus, just saw your other thread. Going to give the voice tagging a shot in the Nav phonebook.

 

But you cant dial # by # with the nav can you.

 

No, the TSX nav/bluetooth does not allow # by # dialing. You can use the keypad on your phone for that.

 

You can by voice over bluetooth. Some people say that their TSX picks up the wrong numbers all the time, but mine is fine.
