The other day I was taking a trip in my 2010 tsx and I had my iPhone 4 sitting in my cup holder and I plugged in my destination in google maps. I had my radio on regular xm and then my radio would become interrupted every time my phone got a message or if there were new directions via the hands free link. I loved it because it came over the speakers loud and clear. However I can't get it to do it again. At that point I had nothing plugged on and I was on xm radio. Anyone know how to get your phone to interrupt the radio for these notifications and not just phone calls?

 

Not sure if it is supposed to do that in the first place. My experience has been the system should work fine if you have Bluetooth selected, but otherwise, only a phone call will interrupt the radio.

 

Connect it to the phone first via phone and media and then switch to XM.

 

Hi all, Can you elaborate on this a little more please? I paired my iPhone5 with the car and then tried playing music through the bluetooth and nothing came out of the speakers. It showed on the screen of my phone it was playing but nothing came out of phone or out of car speakers. I have a 10 with non tech

 

did you set your car to bluetooth mode? hit the aux button.
