DRL and Fog Light replacements...

I'm looking to get some DRL and Fog lights that some what match the normal headlights. Does anybody have a suggestion on brands or colors? I think the main headlights have a slight purple tint to them. Thanks for the help!

What color of LEDs would you go with for the DRLs?
Thanks!

looking into the projector headlight makes it look blue but the output is 4300K, a pure white.

SO

if you want to match when you look at the front of the car get 5-6K.
if you want it to match output in front of you, say against a white wall, get the 4300K.

IMO.

ive been looking at replacing my DRLs. but with LEDs, you loose the high beams.
to match the LEDs, just get the same color temperature as the HID kit you get. the color temps are the same for LED and HID.

i don't know about yours but my headlights do not have a shade of purple in them. stock bulbs should not have any shade of color in them. maybe when you first start the car and turn on the headlights, it flash a quick light blue but it should be white for the most part.

if you need high beams you need to get regular bulbs for DRL they wont be white but definitely not as yellow as the stock

thats why i ended up having to do.
i bought the
Sylvania 9005 SilverStar zXe bulbs Sylvania 9005 SilverStar zXe bulbs
They are definitely whiter, but you only notice that when the high beam is on. as a DRL, it is whiter, but at the lower power you can't really tell unless its side by side.
DRL

the passenger side is stock, and driver side is a zxe.

Can kind of see the difference here with the high beams. iPhone pic kind of has all the lights blended together.

I am still disappointed with how yellow they still are, but i don't think i could get any better with out going with LEDs

if i remember correctly, the fuse could be pulled for the DRLs and the high beams still worked. i know its the same bulb, but maybe there are 2 wires since high beams is full power, which would logically overload the fuse for the half poewr DRL

edit: according to this thread, pulling the fuse yields no warning messages, but could fuck you over in case of an accident
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...RL+fuse&page=2

another thread which im too lazy to link said that highbeams remain functional after fuse removal
