Does anyone know what is the biggest speaker that can fit in the centre channel spot in the dash? Some websites list 3", but that is a tricky size to find speakers in so I was wondering if a 3.5" would fit.

 

The Panasonic site says that they use an 8 centimeter speaker for the ELS system:

I'm wondering what you are working on-are you installing a center speaker on a base system? I'd be interested in how that goes, and what you put in there.
I'm happy with the base system, but a center speaker combining L & R channels would be nice.

 

I'm starting with the base stereo and am thinking about getting a JBL MS-8 to replace the factory amplifier which will then allow me to put a properly mixed centre channel in.

 

Has anyone installed an aftermarket center channel speaker yet?

 

i had checked on crutchfield.com before and it said is 3.5"
