Blackberry Bold 9700 does not work with 2009 TSX HFL
Just an FYI to every Blackberry user, i recently upgraded by Blackberry from the curve 8900 to the bold 9700. Even though it is on Acura's list of compatible devices, the phones does not pair properly. It will not reconnect when you start the car and continues to attempt pairing and then dropping it.
I went to the dealer and we tried it in another 2009 TSX w/o NAVI and same issue. However, in the 2010 w/o NAVI, no problem and you can even dial directly from your phone's speed dial instead of the stored numbers in the car.

I have the same car/phone and it paired and is working fine for me. I also have it paired with my 2010 TSX V6 and that had no issues either.

James, I have the BB9700 also, no problem pairing with the HFL in my 2009 Tech model. Try delete your BB8900 from the HFL system first and then try pairing the Bold2. Any problem, just pm me.

^I second that. When I first got my Nokia E51, I had problems pairing because I still had my old 2005 Nokia as the first paired phone. Deleting everything and having only the E51 paired solved my issues. I know you're supposed to be able to pair more than one phone, but it seems that our car has some trouble with that.

Thanks guys but I deleted all my last phones and still having issues. Maybe I should be clear, i can pair the phone for calls but it will not properly pair with A2DP audio streaming. It will attempt to pair every second until I turn off the phone. I sat in another 2009 TSX and experienced the same problem. I was at the dealer today and they couldn't figure it out. They confirmed that the 09 doesn't pair properly with the Bold 9700. Can you guys get audio sreaming properly along with the steering wheel controls with it becuase I was able to with my 8900.
Thanks in advance.

It's audio/music you want, got it James.
I've just tried that on my BB9700, the HFL recognize the BB9700 Bluetooth audio, but I have to go to media in my BB, select music, hit play and then the song will play on the car stereo system and then I can adjust volume up and down(through steering wheel or main button). But I cannot use the steering wheel control to go to the next song etc.

Hi
I have an 09 TSX and my blackberry pairing works fine, I am having a hard time entering numbers into HFL. It does not recognize when I say the number 2, it takes it in as 0.
Is there an easier way to do this?
thanks

I had a BB 9700 paired with my 2010 TSX, and I actually did have this issue with the blackberry - it would freeze up the phone and attempt to pair constantly with the acura. I did resolve the issue by doing the following:
1. Like other posters have said, delete all paired phones.
2. Make sure you are using the LATEST blackberry software on your phone. Connect your phone via USB to your PC and go to blackberry's website to update the software. I ended up deleting everything on the phone and reloading the new software (then loading back the contacts) and I stopped having this issue.
Good luck!

Paring 9700
I´m having trouble paring my 9700 to my 05 TL, the car don´t seem to find the phone, however when I put ¨searching for a device¨ in the phone it finds the HFL, but it doesn´t work that way. bottom line, when I put my phone on discovery mode, the HFL does not find the phone. Any subjections???
